New Southern Weyr can be found on a northern peninsula in the Southern Continent. This Weyr is actually the combination two extinct volcanoes. The first and larger of the volcanoes consists of all of the dragonrider’s Weyrs. The second, and smaller of the volcanoes consists of the Weyrfolk Weyrs, and the Beasthall. The Star Stones are situated at the top of the larger volcano, where the Red Star can be seen in the mornings. The smaller of the volcanoes opens up on one side to the rest of the Southern Continent. There is a well-worn road that can be seen coming from the great opening. All around the volcanoes is lush forests. These forests contain a variety of different creatures and plants, some not even seen on the Northern Continent.
