Name: T'hex
Age: 20 turns
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Rank: Wingrider, Terrain Wing
About the Person:
Physical Appearance: T’hex is tall and lean, and more on the scrawny than the muscular side. Though there are strong muscles beneath the stretch of his skin, they are small and almost unnoticed. He is not a typical, muscular and good-looking rider. In fact, he is still quite boyish in appearance though he has long since finished puberty. He stands about 6’ 3’’ and weighs only about 165 lbs, making him strong and tall enough to ride, but just barely so. He has plain hazel eyes and shaggy brown hair which is generally windswept and unkempt. He is mildly attractive, and is known as being “cute” not “handsome.” To put it lightly, he does not share his bed much. Perhaps when he ages a bit more, he will become a dashing character with the appearances to woo women without his personality. For now though, he must rely on his good nature and sense of humor to be noticed by the female riders.
Personality: T’hex has always walked a fine line between being a rule-breaker and being downright chaotic. His favorite pastimes are as follows: 1) playing pranks 2) flying with Mosarth 3) hunting for firelizard eggs 4) romance 5) naps (in that order!) He has a reputation for being a troublemaker, but his charm usually gets him out of terrible punishment. The Headwoman is usually seen hovering around him, her watchful eyes making sure he’s not doing anything to wreck havoc in her Weyr – and yet, somehow, T’hex always finds a way to turn over a fresh pot of numbweed, to turn all the klah green, or to steal all the fresh glows. His pranks are usually harmless, but still give him a bad reputation just the same.
Though he is extremely likable, he doesn’t have a lot of true friends, just “partners in crime.” This doesn’t bother him much since he has Mosarth, but he does wish he had a friend or two to actually talk to. Most people don’t see the fierce loyalty beneath his soft brown eyes, or the dedication to his Weyr. Though he likes to play practical jokes on his fellow riders and weyrpeople, he would also go to the ends of Pern for them. He is a good-natured, humorous, and extremely kind-hearted person, despite his trickery. He does not have a lot of ambition – he doesn’t much care to be a Wingleader – but he is a decent rider and cares for Mosarth above all else. Perhaps this is why the Riders tend to smile at him rather than berate him; annoying as he is, he is an asset to the Weyr.
Historical Facts:
Family: Mother – Tahlia, journeywoman healer (37), Father – Ampetan, master healer; siblings – Rydia (15, apprentice weaver), Chapal (19, apprentice healer)
Pets: n/a
History: Tahex was born at Wislon Hold to two (then) apprentice healers. Tahlia and Ampetan were newlyweds then, and the bliss of their fresh love spilled into Tahex’s childhood. He was quickly given a brother, Chapal, and a few years later, a beautiful sister. For several years, they had the quintessential family, but then Ampetan was promoted to journeyman and Tahlia’s jealous was profuse. She had never been outdone before, so when Ampetan rose before she did, she was furious. Though they stayed together, the family was torn apart by the parents’ constant bickering, which generally escalated into full-out brawls. Tahex was the first to leave, and was apprenticed at the age of 10 to a master baker in the Hold. Tahex absolutely hated the baking craft, and only spent a few miserable years as the master’s apprentice before search riders came to Wislon.
The hold, known for medicine and candidates, was regularly searched by Riders, so when they finally Searched Tahex at age 15, he was overjoyed. His brother, Chapal, was excelling as an apprentice healer and even Rydia, five years his junior, had already shown aptitude for the Weaver craft. Tahex was the only sibling who had not yet found his niche, so he went willingly and without hesitation to the Weyr. He didn’t Impress until he was seventeen, but the two years of wishing, waiting and learning paid off when he finally heard his Mosarth speak to him! He had already developed a reputation as a restless troublemaker, so when he Impressed Mosarth, the entire Weyr agreed with the color choice. Mosarth and T’hex were perfect for each other, and they were a loveable nuisance to the Weyr. They never stood out much, as they had little dedication to chores or training, but they passed simply on their natural skill and strong bond. Now, T’hex and Mosarth are part of the Terrain Weyr and are constantly looking for their next big prank.

Name of Dragon: Mosarth
Age of Dragon: 3 Turns, of Nikai and Golith's last clutch
Color of Dragon: Snow
Appearance of Dragon: Mosarth is an average-sized snow dragon, and is completely white from head to toe. No other colors or blemishes mar his hide, but his wings, tail and face are more iridescent than the rest of his body. Those parts seem to have an opal-like quality, catching and reflecting light in odd, nearly invisible swirls of color. They are only visible when he is in very bright light, and T’hex is the only one who has noticed something as small as this, but once it is noticed, it is not easily forgotten. His eyes are also very bright and colorful, but no more so than most other dragons’. He is particularly dramatic and animated and can often be seen performing some kind of ridiculous acrobatics that only small, lithe dragons like him can perform. He is slim and small, but muscular, just like his rider.
Personality of Dragon: Mosarth is a very usual Snow dragon. He Impressed T’hex because they both loved to get into trouble, and he has not lost this trait in his three years of living. There is nothing sullen or withdrawn about Mosarth; he is one of the most outgoing dragons in the Weyr, and though many think of him as a pest, he also has a handful of close friends. He most enjoys sunbathing and spending time with T’hex, but he is always up for a good prank and will never back down to a dare. He tends to get along better with Weyrlings than Wingriders, and doesn’t care much about doing chores or flying thread, except when absolutely necessary.
Other: Packtail, yeah!
