Senara grinned. "Firelizards do everything faster, anyway. A size thing, I suppose." She moved to lean against her still damp dragon, shamelessly using his shoulder for support. "So...how is Zenniel? I haven't actually seen much of her since the Hatching. Enjoying her freedom, I suppose."
That would be the downside to riding a queen. Being Sands-bound while your dragon guarded eggs.

A'vic continued to work on Sretoth's hide while he talked- there was a good lot of it and even though most of it didn't need much work, the Mineral enjoyed having every bit of him thoroughly cleaned. "She's fine, and is." He smiled slighlty. "And full of questions."
Odd questions. Sretoth rumbled softly. Dash, suddenly intrigued by the noise, tried to hook his hind paws and tail around the Mineral's neck and gaze at the dragon's chest to try to find just where it originated from. Torna, not wanting to be left out, hopped off A'vic's shoulder to look around too, although he did it while flying.

Senara smiled. "At least you two seem to be getting on. Nothing worse than when the weyrwoman and weyrleader have issues."
She'd hate to have an interpersonal relationship so key to the future of the Weyr. Frikath, for his part, remained silent.

"Mmm-hmm." A'vic nodded. He could think of worse things really... but their relationship was important. Trust at least would be and a willingness to listen to each other... like in any relationship.
Sretoth arched his neck to look awkwardly down at the fire-lizards crawling around his chest and rumbled slightly louder, causing Dash to give a start of amazement. Torna gurgled and planted himself precariously against Sretoth's foreleg, stretching his neck to see what he could from there.

Senara laughed a bit. "If you guys are going to crawl a over him, you should at least help his rider scrub," she told the firelizards, scolding them like a Harper teaching class, but with amusement clearly audible in her voice.
Frikath snaked his head around and snorted in their direction, apparently mirroring his rider's mood. Then again, he often did.

Torna and Dash looked up at Senara simultaneously, their eyes whirling with faint suprise. Dash snorted back at Frikath and gave his head a toss before marching to the base of Sretoth's wing. His little claws rubbed at the orangey-bronze skin while he watched the rider and Sea with a sort of annoyed expression. Torna only stared at Frikath and fluttered over to hover in front of the Sea's chest, wondering if the rumbly noise would come from him too.
"Oh, let him be Torna," A'vic chuckled softly. Sretoth watched with a cheerful expression, he liked the two little flitts his rider had Impressed very much.

Senara was struggling to stop laughing, especially when Frikath, clearly in a playful mood, bent his head around and -breathed- at the hovering Torna, creating quite a wind.
He might only be a sea, but no dragon was truly -small-. Poor little firelizard.

Torna gave a squawk of surprise as the Sea breathed on him, the hot gust of air blowing the young fire-lizard backwards. Dash gurgled, his eyes whirling with bright hues. This was a game he might like. Leaving Sretoth again, he darted over to Frikath. Torna, on the other hand, withdrew to A'vic's shoulder.

Frikath lowered his head, eyes whirling with amusement and then he blew at that firelizard too.
Senara, by this point, absolutely could not stop laughing. "Shards, A'vic, your flits are -crazy-."
Then again, weren't they all? Probably why she didn't have one.

More prepared for Frikath's blowing on him than Torna had been, Dash trilled as the Sea breathed on him and used the gust to twirl before diving into the water. Moments later he reemerged near A'vic and flew up to chatter to Torna. He wanted his brother to come play again.
"Yeah." A'vic laughed. Torna sniffed lightly, thinking His was laughing at him, and took off to join Dash. He hoped that maybe they wouldn't be so much once they were older... they were still young fire-lizards anyways. Sometime maybe they wouldn't be so crazy. It was probably their insanity that had made Ala think he needed one so desperately though.

Senara grinned as Frikath gave the firelizards what could best be described as an arch look. Dragons don't laugh, but anyone who knows them could see the humor in the blue's eyes and manner at this point.
His rider, finally, leaned against his shoulder. "Or maybe firelizards are just inherently crazy."

Sretoth rumbled, his expression holding a dragonish sort of grin. You like Mine's fire-lizards? So far, Frikath had struck him as a quiet Sea. And so it became Sretoth's new goal to get him to talk... he liked chatting with other dragons.
"Maybe they are." A'vic grinned. "Wouldn't surprise me in the least." Dash paused in midturn to snort at the rider, not liking how much he was being called crazy. Torna apparently didn't mind though, he continued to whirl about in the air. Maybe while his brother was distracted he could outfly him and win their game for once...

They are silly. Mine is sometimes not silly enough. the sea sent back, thoughtfully. I think her hatchling took all of her silliness.
Senara gave her dragon a suspicious look, perhaps catching the very edges of the conversation.

Mine is not very silly either, Sretoth replied with a touch of remorse. But he has no hatchlings.
A'vic paused to lean against Sretoth's foreleg, watching his fire-lizards chase each other over the surface of the lake. Senara was probably right. These two, at least, were crazy.

Senara fell quiet, watching the firelizards. She felt very much at ease, now, apparently, she had just needed some company.
Krisara -would- Impress, hopefully, when Lilith flew again...that was likely to be before the new gold, Talaith, was mature. She would have to learn more about that rider, the future junior weyrwoman. The rumors she'd heard spoke of somebody a lot like Kris...cheerful and outgoing. Hopefully, she'd hold up under a responsibility Senara herself would not wish for either for herself or her child.
