It wasn't an official meal time, being about mid morning, but Krisara was hungry any way. The candidate had snagged herself a small meatroll and flopped at a table to consume it.
Her mother was more upset than she was at her failure to Impress. Senara wanted to see Krisara with her dragon...ideally a sea...whilst Krisara herself was entirely aware that she had several Turns yet.
Besides, she wasn't letting it get her down.

As usual, Tirasha's fire-lizards were hungry. Tianthe especially seemed desperate for food, as she always did after a Flight (if you don't count her usual desperation for it... this is a bit more). She flew ahead, swirling in tight circles to look back and glare at Tirasha and Willow who were taking their time.
It was rare that Tirasha came in for breakfast so late, today was different as someone had come in with a canine who had been kicked with a runnerbeast and was such a worrier that it took, in Tirasha's opinion, just about forever to assure the girl that he was alright. Canine's were hardy creatures and it hadn't, as far as Tirasha could tell, been a hard kick. Ah, well... there were too many of those people who fussed too much over nothing.
After grabbing a plate and putting a few meatrolls and a redfruit on it, Tirasha glanced around the kitchens. Well, there was one advantage of coming to breakfast late, there were less people. Only one of the Candidates who hadn't Impressed at the recent Hatchling... Tianthe practically bounced through the air over to where the girl sat; Tirasha had food, but so did this girl. Sighing softly, Tirasha followed.
"Mind if I sit here?" It at least looked like her Grass wanted to. Willow continued to act aloof to his sister, he liked acting like he was better than her.

Krisara grinned a little. "You mean, do I mind if your firelizard sits here and tries to beg my food away?" she asked, cheerfully. "It's fine...hey there, green." She might have caught Tianthe's name, but had forgotten it.
"You're Tirasha, right? The healer?" Krisara flickered a grin at Tirasha and then back at Tianthe. And a bit at Willow, just for good measure.

"I hope not." Tirasha gave Tianthe a sideways glare. Begging, even when Tirasha had food for her, was a habit Tianthe seemed she would never break. Willow, trying to show off what a good flitt he was, hopped neatly off Tirasha's shoulder and began to munch on one of the meatrolls His had grabbed.
Tianthe chirped to Krisara, giving a fire-lizard version of a smile before prancing over to Tirasha's plate to grab some food for herself. She ate with much more vigor than Willow, managing to leave crumbs about that she would probably go back and eat later.
"Yeah." Tirasha nodded. It seemed a little odd to her to have someone already knowing her name... although it seemed to be happing more often lately. And slightly embarassing, seeing as how she didn't know the other girl's name. "Yours?"

"Krisara," the girl supplied. "A lot of people just call me Kris." Not everyone, but she preferred it. Shorter and neater.
At least the firelizards weren't stealing -her- food. She munched on it, watching them for a moment. "You guys had better steal from your human, not me," she said, teasingly. "I don't want to have to go get more food." She didn't sound like she'd really be upset, though.
Actually, she sounded like nothing could possibly get her down.

Tirasha nodded. She had never been much for using nicknames, but it was good to know anyways.
Willow gave Krisara an odd glance, wondering why anyone would warn him to not eat their food- of course he wouldn't. He was a good flitt, yes. Tianthe gurgled almost deviously though and continued to chew on her meatroll. (Chew could be a bit of an overstatement though, she basically just tore off bites that looked at first glance too big to fit in her mouth and swallowed them whole.)
"Hopefully they won't." Tirasha frowned slightly and looked down at her plate, trying to decide if she was hungry or not.

Kris grinned. "Just giving them a hard time...heh. Your mineral looks all offended. He's a handsome guy."
She munched on some more food, apparently determined to eat almost as quickly as the green firelizard was putting it away, although the pieces were relatively smaller.
She wondered what she could bribe Tirasha with for one of Tianthe's eggs next time she laid some...even if it -was- a grass clutch.

"He probably is." Tirasha grinned though, she didn't' mind much. "Willow doesn't like teasing much, I don't think." Tianthe was much better about joking than the Mineral, at least when they first met someone.
Tianthe watched Krisara curiously and somehow began eating faster, not wanting anyone to think that she ate slower than a human. Tirasha watched the Grass with raised eyebrows, she was only going to choke herself if she kept that up.

Krisara laughed, and slowed down. "You have a silly green," she informs Tirasha. A pause. "She going to fly any time soon? I've been thinking I'd like one, and..."
She looked rather sheepish for a moment.

"I do." Tirasha smiled. "But I like her." Tianthe chirped happily and continued eating, thought at a slightly slower pace than before. The girl was talking, which meant she wasn't eating, so Tianthe could slow down and still beat her.
"Actually, she just flew. She might not look it quite yet, but she'll clutch before long... you could come whenever they hatch and maybe Impress." Tirasha shrugged. "Her young are probably as mad as she is though, unless some got lucky and take after their father."

Krisara chuckled. "We'll see, I think I could handle a mildly crazy green or blue...what color flew her, do you know?" She did peer at the green. Not very egg heavy, yet, but maybe that was a slight bulge. Maybe, now she knew to look.
She didn't mind trying for a green's clutch in the slightest, having failed to find out about the sand hatching until too late.

"A Sea." So there would probably be a lot of 'mildly crazy' Blues and Greens. Maybe a Storm Cloud too, had she hatched one of those the last time a Sea flew her? Tirasha couldn't remember... Tianthe had so many clutches.
Willow still hadn't finished his meatroll and Tianthe had, now she watched her brother with a predatory stare, wondering exactly how to get his from him. Eating was much more fun when she had to do something to get her food, even if it was only a third of a roll that she would end up with.

Krisara nodded. "So, blues and greens. I still want one. My mother thinks I'm crazy. I keep plotting a way of tricking an egg into her hands...she thinks all firelizards are insane."
She winked at the healer. "Ah well. I probably shouldn't try to force one on her."

Tirasha laughed. "If you get her to just show up a hatchling could Impress to her." Willow chirped. That's what he had done, hadn't it been? "She's probably not too far off in that thought though... most seem to be." At least Willow wasn't, usually. Tianthe was the opposite though.
"It would be funny though." Tirasha smirked. Tianthe chirruped agreement. She liked surprising people. Surprising someone with a baby fire-lizard would be very funny.

Krisara nodded. "Yeah, but I dunno if it would really be fair. It's so tempting, though. If it was a larger clutch, maybe....I do want one for -myself-, after all."
A sea/grass clutch would be fairly small, though..in both its size and the size of the firelizards that came from it.

"Tianthe usually lays big clutches for a Grass." Tirasha smiled and Tianthe chirped again. Still, a clutch from a Sea wouldn't be too big. The little Grass usually chose larger colors, which resulted in larger clutches. She'd see with this one.
"Feel free to pop in and try anyways," Tirasha reached out to tickle her fingertips of Tianthe's back. The Grass twisted her neck to nibble playfully at the Healer's hand. Much as she liked food, it didn't take much to temporarily distract Tianthe from it.

Krisara nodded. "Worst case scenario, I don't get one, and it's not like there aren't plenty of adult females around." But she rather liked this crazy little grass, even if a gold clutch would technically be 'better'.
"Silly green."

"Mmm-hmm." Tirasha nodded. It had happened before where more people showed up than there were eggs... but mostly not that many seemed too interested in a Grass clutch. Anyone who came would probably get a hatchling.
Tianthe stopped nibbling on Tirasha's fingers to glare playfully at Krisara before finally just returning to her near-gone meatroll.

Krisara grinned. "See, she knows she's silly." She finished her meatroll and hrmed. "I guess I can't laze around for too much longer," she said, a little ruefully.
She would be found chores to do soon enough if she didn't find them herself...
