"Oh, Hialith! Stop it already! You behaved so wrong today! Why, you almost gave the Holders a shock! We are supposed to help bring in more Candidates, not scare them away!"
Saich was angry, so angered at the moment she hadn't even bothered scolding her dragon through their mental channels as Hialith descended to their Weyr ledge. The Storm CloudRider huffed, clearly distressed, before jumping off her dragons back and landing neatly on the ground, with the experience of turns. Her beloved Hialith had been so moody lately, she had become unbearable. The feeling almost seemed familiar, sort of deja vu, but Saich could not place why exactly at the moment. She was to upset to think. The riding straps were taken off, the mammoth of a Storm Cloud hissing lightly, before she suddenly dove.
"Hia- SHARDS!!! I should've known!"
As she called behind her dragon, watching the dragoness glide down from the ledge of their Weyr, Saich finally recognized that feeling. That blood-curling sensation, the wanting of blood, to kill. Her Hia was rising. Perhaps it was a good thing she had left Sun with Z'or and his little Hia and Flake. At least he would not be ravashed by her dragoness weird sense of lust.
{Hia! Don't you dare gorge! Blood it!}
A bleating sound pierced the air, coming from the pens who were currently being terrified. The massive shape in the center was that of a dragon, a female, a Storm Cloud. A lustful little thing. In her jaws dangled a half breathing herdbeast, bleating in pain as it kicked. But soon it was silenced, bones being crushed audibly by powerful jaws. Blood dripped down her snout, staining her dark and cloudy hide. It almost resembled a storm, a bloody storm. As the command came she refused, throwing the mutilated cxarcass to the ground before she roared.
{By Faranth's egg, Hialith, I said Blood it! You will do as I say, BLOOD IT!!}
Reluctantly she obeyed, head lowering before her jaws tightened on the throat, sucking the beast dry of the crimson and succulent blood. She bulged for a second time, thought this was not to startle and continue to harass the heardbeasts. This was a call, a challenge, to all males of the Weyr. Hialith was rising, but she would not be an easy catch. With a mighty beat of her wings, and a hard push of her legs, the Storm Cloud was in the air, and only waited splits of seconds before shooting off -- leaving any chasers behind, or so she thought.
Come get me! If you think you can keep up, that is!

Maybe it was that he wanted to heal himself a little from the Flight with Lilith, but when the first sense of Hialith rising hit Roluth, he shot to the feeding grounds. He wasn't sore anymore, and he was strong...Roluth would win this one!!
C'it felt what was going on. Go on my heart, be the best and win.
He entered Saich's weyr and smiled to her, still very able to control himself. He smiled at her and leaned against a near-by wall. Win Roluth, win. You need this as much as any dragon.
Roluth had felled his first buck and blooded it, rushing to his second. He blooded it just as the Storm Cloud bugled and shot into the sky. In his mind, there were no other competitiors.
He shot after her and crooned to her.

((Sparrow is bringing in an NPC since Sretoth has no reason to chase and Amirinth is a girl too... if he wins, I have a profile for these two already so they'll probably go up for ufa. I know that Zen said anyone could play an NPC dragon, but I'd sorta rather you didn't play them right now though... I don't really get the point of that rule. xP))
Decoth was not in a very good mood. No, not a good mood at all. He had missed Lilith's flight- a Flight he could have won! He and V'ri could be Weyrleaders! But they had been gone. Well. Of course V'ri had been in a bad mood too, but Decoth's was worse. Much worse. His rider probably didn't have the ability to hold such a bad mood. Only such a giant Mineral as himself could.
So when he felt the first touches of Hialith's lust, Decoth had only grown angrier. Now a Storm Cloud called. He could have flown a Sunshine! Decoth growled and snapped at the air outside his weyr, irritable. But then he had seen the Forest, Roluth, rushing past to the feeding grounds. That Forest had chased Lilith too! Decoth growled and shot out of his Weyr too. That over-achieving, nasty-
Decoth, it is alright. Being angry will not make anyone want you. V'ri's words cut him off. Humph. Decoth was still angry. But he could hold that back. This was a Flight. V'ri was right- anger would not make a dragon want to let him fly her. Decoth grabbed a large herdbeast from the pens and settled in the midst of one of the pastures to blood it. The animals within bellowed to each other and clung to the fences, doing their best to avoid the angry and hungry dragon.
V'ri almost ran to Saich's weyr despite the fact that there wasn't a whole lot of need for speed right now. He grinned at the Storm Cloudrider, nodded an acknowledgement to C'it and settled against the wall that opened to the outside. His gray eyes focused in the direction of the feeding grounds and he watched for the dragons to take off. Decoth's lust was weak right now and V'ri could easily control himself. That probably wouldn't last though.
Decoth had just finished bleeding a third beast when Hialith bugled her challenge and took off. The Mineral spread his great wings and leapt after her. He could at least make up a little for missing Lilith's Flight by chasing this dragon. A Storm Cloud was not quite a Sunshine, but she was beautiful in her own dark way anyways.

K'nor felt the lust flying off of his dragon who was quite literally flying after a female he wanted a peice of this tail. K'nor sighed and he knew that the Mineral wanted to chase and win this flight no matter the cost to his own life at the claws of this Storm Cloud.
Beautiful Hialith I will prove my worth! Kintrath crooned as he took off after the Storm Cloud he was going to win! K'nor sighed and let the Dragon have his ego popped by the female not him.

The first chaser had been a Forest, and Hialith recognized him as Roluth. Had he not chased in the Queen's flight, and lost? Hah! And he believed he could catch HER?! A faint growl was her reply to his crooning, Hialith snorting in irritation before turning her gaze to her second chaser. Now here was something appealing, the dark hued dragon letting her gaze travel over the brilliant hide of the Mineral. He looked strong, fit, and quite angry too... And yet, the Storm Cloud found it rather appealing instead of annoying. His anger amused her, and fueled her own. Slowing lightly to be sly and flirty, the Storm Cloud tempted the Mineral with an almost love-filled seeming croon, before she snapped at one of his wing sails -- missing flesh and membrane by an inch or two. She then shot forwards again, keeping in front of her chasers. It was clear this wouldn't be a calm and friendly flight like that of sweet Lilith.
Oh no, this was her flight. This was Hialith's time. And she as ging to enjoy her ti--
Beautiful Hialith I will prove my worth!
What was this?! Who dared interrupt her thoughts?! The Storm Cloud turned her gaze, spotting her third chaser -- another Mineral. However, unlike the first, she did not seem as fond of this one, and a loud snarl made clear the simple message. Any talking [or invading her thoughts and privacy] annoyed the Storm Cloud -- and poor Kintrath had just roused more rage in the bloodthirsty and lusty beast.
With a challenging bulge the Storm Cloud suddenly rose, wings catching and updrafth that took her higher than her other suitors. She waited for them, almost taunting their worth, before suddenly diving. Half way through she broke her fall into a barrel roll, before looping through the skies. With an u-turn she had placed herself behind her chasers -- and now it was them the ones being chased! She gave a mixture of a growl and gurgling sound -- it was clear the Storm Cloud was enjoying her tricks and freedoms, and she hoped she could cause enough confusion and dishorient her males as to where she was. She did well, never staying in one place for too long. Passing thogh the group of males from behind, she allowed her tail to caress the Forest's back lightly, before shooting out of their range and into the clouds.
They had better be able to keep up if they wished to have a faint chance at being chosen by her.
At her Weyr Saich sighed, acknowledging the suitors that entered with a faint nod -- though the brunette payed no more attention to the males. She wasn't interested in any of them -- but, alas, someone had to win the flight...

He wasn't all too sure why Hialith was seemingly angry with him...but He didn't care. He would prove himself worthy of this Storm Cloud.
He saw her antics, followed her lazily everwhere she went. When she made it as if He and the others were being chased, He looked back and crooned to her...the croon tinted with his amusement at the fun. He flipped back and went behind her again, only to follow her again off all the way into the clouds.
He lazily followed, keeping his strength up for the later parts of the Flight. She was going to be his, it didn't matter how many Minerals or Waterfalls came to this Flight! He soared under her altitude, looking up at her glowing beauty...she was even more beautiful than Lilith had been. Well now she was.
C'it grinned at Roluth's thoughs. He looked over at Saich and seconded his dragon's thoughts. Right now...this dragon and her rider were the most beautiful pair in the Weyr. The lust was building, but he knew that he could still control it.

Decoth started to croon back to Hialith as she discreetly drifted back towards him only to have the noise turn into a sharp snort of surprise as she snapped at his wing. A dangerous stunt- but he rather liked the Storm Cloud's daring to try it. He was still angry at missing Lilith's flight and not quite into this one yet, but he snapped playfully at Hialith's tail as she shot forwards again. Perhaps he would enjoy the flight more than he planned.
But this was still only a Storm Cloud, not a Sunshine. Decoth had missed his chance. A Storm Cloud couldn't possibly make up for that. She could at least, maybe, make for some enjoyment though. Decoth watched, his head twisting almost backwards on his flexible neck, as she rolled behind the chasers. For a moment she had switched their places... Decoth didn't plan for that to last long though. He dipped and planned to duck underneath and behind the Storm Cloud when she suddenly took off forwards again.
With an irritated grumble, Decoth pumped his wings and sped up his pace. He was no lazy flier like the Forest nearby seemed to be. He didn't know about the other Mineral yet, except that Hialith didn't seem to happy with him.
As he followed Hialith into the clouds, Decoth's mood only seemed to worsen. He didn't like flying through clouds, they always got him wet and it was hard to see through their thick vapor. The Storm Cloud's gray could blend in well with them too- he had to watch closely. A female should be a glowing, radiant, easy-to-see creature in her flight, not blending in with her surroundings...
V'ri didn't pay a lot of attention to the others in Saich's weyr. Decoth's lust was building, along with his dark mood, but the rider was fairly used to both and didn't have to work too hard to control them. At this rate, Decoth's lust would only reach an uncontrollable level if he were to catch Saich, and from the Mineral's thoughts so far he sort of doubted it would even grow that powerful. So he took advantage of having control of his mind and watched the sky for a sight of the dragons.

Kintrath followed with a croon she would be his he was sure of it he was after all a mineral. The highest ranking male Dragon out here, there were two chasing the Storm Cloud.
K'nor however smiled and watched the woman he wondered who would win this flight he hoped for his dragon that it was him and not some other male.

It sickened her to have these males around her, lust filled minds everywhere. Men, so gullible and easy to control -- a bit of dragon lust and any woman seemed to be a glorious, shining piece of Rukbath and the skies on Pern. It made Saich's stomach want to churn in disgust. Still, Flights were flights -- and her Hialith would be caught soon enough. Already she could begin to feel the Storm Cloud was straining, mainly because she was pushing herself so hard since the beginning. Neither rider nor dragon saw the points of flights, and Hialith was known for making them rather short lived.
Higher, higher, higher...
The Storm Cloud continued to rise and rise and rise, a challenging bulge echoing through the air as she dared her suitors to follow. Would they be able to keep up, would they be able to fly at such altitudes, where the air was so thin and almost nonexistent? The thought amused her, what if one of them dropped to the lands below, dizzied and unable to straighten in time? Her eyes turned to inspect the males once more. Roluth seemed to be slacking, following with little effort as he conserved his strength. Fool! Did he not realize this was no Queen flight? Hialith looked for flashy stunts, proof of their health and movement -- not how long they could glide in the skies!
The cover of the clouds she welcomed, the Storm Cloud drifting through them unseen, like a ghost. She came up closer to Decoth for the second time, giving the dragonic equivalent of a mocking laughter, before she blended into the clouds again. What's wrong, Mineral? You seem to be in such a bad mood... The mental tones were sly, mocking, provocative. It was clear Hialith was playing with her chasers. She recognized Roluth, he had chased after Lilith and lost. Decoth, he had been away at the time -- and no doubt now furious for missing such a chance. Kintrath... She didn't knew, but probably the same story as Decoth.
Diving, the dragoness broke free from the darkening cotton-like clouds in the sky, dropping a few hundred feet before leveling herself. Another look at her chasers, she would be choosing one of them soon enough. One more bulge was given, the Storm Cloud daring them to prove their worth.
This is it, my puppets! Dance for me one last time, prove to your mistress how much you are truly worth.
Hialith was not serious about any of these males, and she knew her Rider shared the same feelings. These were strangers, and the only reason one would win was because nature tortured Hialith into such decition, giving her no free option in the matter. Well, the Storm Cloud would at least get some enjoyment out of this torture.

At her comments, His eyes flashed. His power display may not have worked for the other Flight, but maybe it would work for this Storm Cloud...seeing as she liked the clouds so much.
He crooned at her in acknowledgment of her comment and then shot forward, easily catching up to her...then disappearing.
He had found his mark, a very dark one that He could barely see out of, but the radiant female was easily visible.
He flew with the cloud for some time, a little minute, letting the water drops collect onto his skin...a fine shine they would produce in the light.
He waited for the right moment and then seemed to appear right in front of Hialith, gleaming from all the water on his green hide. He crooned to her, face-to-face, making sure not to touch her or get that close to her.
He wasn't done yet though.
He then gave distance, going ahead of her, and began to rid himself of the water-droplets by doing large and fast circles in the air.
His eyes still whirling, a deep purple, he glided back over her in a large loop...letting a single rosy-looking droplet fall onto her wing-tip.
I danced, dear Hialith. He rumbled to her in extacy of how fun this Flight was.
C'it was smiling at Roluth's antic. He had added the loops. Lust wasn't too bad this Flight for C'it, even though the excitement was building. He looked over at Saich and noticed that she seemed a little uncomfortable. He gave her some space...sometimes women didn't like being crowded...and Saich seemed to be one of them.
He made a mental note to leave a message for her or talk to her later about him being sorry for his own crowding of her.

V'ri was still more concentrated on watching through the exit of the Weyr for the dragons than Saich or anyone else currently in the Weyr. He thought he had caught a glimpse of Decoth's bronze hide, but the dragons were flying high and in clouds now. He wasn't sure.
Decoth flew fast behind Hialith, concentrating hard on keeping close to the Storm Cloud. She flew high, very high. It was high where flying was best, the thin air made for speed. If he found there wasn't enough to inhale, he could hold his breath plenty long enough for a Storm Cloud to tire and fly lower again. Decoth was very sure of that.
What's wrong Mineral? You seem to be in such a bad mood...
Decoth snorted at Hialith's comment. Humph, she could probably guess. If not... it was probably better she didn't know. Did the Storm Cloud suspect that he chased her only to start making up (although he doubted he really ever could) for missing Lilith's Flight? Would that make her not want him to fly her? He wasn't sure he wanted to take the chance. Decoth remained silent.
Then she dove again. The huge Mineral folded his wings and shot after her, snapping them open as she straightened out again. He flew close- maybe he could just grab her...
No, she spoke again. Tricks now, she wanted tricks. Puppets? Decoth growled low. He didn't like being referred to as a puppet. Decoth was no-one's puppet, especially not a Storm Cloud's. He watched with flashing eyes as the Forest performed his trick. Hmm. So he would be a puppet for the female.
Well, not Decoth.
Don't you want to win, dear heart? V'ri's comment surprised him. Well, of course Decoth wanted to win. But not by acting as Hialith's puppet, performing tricks like a common dog. Dancing she had put it, but he thought trick as she spoke. Puppets didn't dance, they were controlled by strings and put on little shows for people. That was all tricks were. Dancing was, he had always believed, meant to be beautiful and free.
Most definately not done under order.
Hialith, lovely as you are, your Decoth is no puppet, he growled. You can choose the others for performing for you, but I will not put on a trick just to win. If you want me to dance, we must fly. He gave his head a toss. Hovering and watching the others was no way to perform a Flight. He could just extend his wingsails and grab her now. But she wanted to see a trick, and the other Mineral still had to go. Decoth flapped his great wings to remain in the air but stationary and waited.

I danced, dear Hialith.
The Storm Cloud simply gave a snort of disgust at his answer, having not even bothered to watch teh Forest and whatever it was the male had decided to do to amuse her. Weak male, so easily controlled. It made Hialith want to tear him limb from limb. Where all males such fools! So easily manipulated by lust and looks!
Hialith, lovely as you are, your Decoth is no puppet. You can choose the others for performing for you, but I will not put on a trick just to win. If you want me to dance, we must fly.
A soft rumble of amusement escaped the Storm Cloud's ttroath as she listened to teh Mineral's words. Yes, this was what she had been hoping for, this was what she had been wanting all along. A glance was given at the other Mineral, but his drawed out response to her commands was enough to tick her off. If he would not react in time, then he would not be considered at all.
Dance together, you say? Very well, Mineral, but you have better be able to prove yourself worthy of such priviledge. Now come, let us join and dance together in the skies...
She had slowed down, now at the same pace of the Mineral as she glided besides him. Reaching out the Storm Cloud entwined her neck and tail with his, giving the male no option in the matter. He would be Hers and no one else would have her Decoth... For now, at least.
In her Weyr Saich had already relented to Hialith's building lust, though a smile remained on the brunette's lips. Yes, she liked this attitude her Hia adopted when in flight, so far from the usual gloomy and depressed ways of her Storm Clould. If only... If only she would keep such personality sevendays and turns after her flights. If only she would keep it forever.
With a grace felines normally possess, Saich closed the distance between herself and the Rider of the winning Mineral. A seductive purr sounded softly in her troath, one hand circling around his neck, playing with the strands of his hair, while the other stroked and caressed his cheek. She inspected his appearence, his features, before giving a content mewl.
Yes, he would do for now. Gray eyes locked in his own, surprised to see themselves mirrowed back, but soon all thoughts and morals were lost as the female pressed herself strongly against V'ri, her lips seeking his with ravenous hunger. It wasn't often that Hialith rose, but when she did...
Well, one could say it was an event to not be soon forgotten.
((I must beg you, Sparrow, keep and roleplay V'ri/Decoth. I can't help but be amused as I think of what future role plays could be sprouted from them both. XDD))

Decoth had not exactly meant that Hialith had to Fly with him for him to dance when he had said that. The thought had entered the great Mineral's head, but his meaning had been leaning more towards that they really had to be flying- not just waiting and watching the others- for him to perform in any way of all. Not that he had planned on it, but perhaps he could have just done...
Eh. He liked how Hialith had reacted to his words. Of course, lovely Hialith. He crooned gently as she entwined her neck around his and wrapped his great form around the smaller Storm Cloud. Let us dance. Hialith may have not given him any option of squirming away when she first approached (although Decoth couldn't imagine why he would want to), but now he held her tight and restrained. She was a large Storm Cloud... but he was a large Mineral. Only a few flaps of his great wings and he had control of both their flight...
The sudden burst of lust that flowed through V'ri as Hialith entwined herself around Decoth didn't particularly take the rider by surprise. It still wasn't as powerful as his lust was in some flights either, he could control it here easily... but saw no need to as Saich approached. No... he could enjoy this and be at least somewhat alert too.
He openly welcomed Saich against him, wrapping his arms around her waist to hold her closer even as she pressed herself against him. No, he did not mind one bit as he welcomed her ravenous kiss. He would like this.
((xD Okay, okay... *goes to post his app.))
