[Lolz, page claim. XD] He was lagging behind, he knew it, yet the determined Sea refused to give in – or even let His talk any reason into his head. Z’or had long since given up on changing the mind of his beloved bond, instead opting to become one with him. They would see this through the end, together. It seemed the thought delighted Veiruth, giving the blue dragon a slight boost of energy, out of pure emotions. He was so happy His agreed with him, he was glad His wasn’t mad of him chasing a Queen. And His supported him. The Sea gave a soft croon, mostly to himself, though he made sure it echoed loud and clear on his bond’s mind. He was so glad he had come to Z’or that time, and the Sea would have never wished for a better Mine.
As Lilith dove once more, the Sea had already angled his wings and beginning to descend, before he watched her pull back up. With a flick of his tail he showed his agility in the air, rushing back up to higher altitudes as he continued to fly. An updraft was caught, and the Sea expanded his wings to their fullest – allowing the wind to carry his lithe body and give it a boost of speed. He was getting closer to the other males, no longer did he lagged so far behind. Perhaps a dragonlength away from the last of the chasers, perhaps even a bit less, yet the Sea remained in an altitude below the Queen. He would not, did not, dared to fly above of her range – it was such an impolite gesture to a maiden Sunshine. No, she was the center of attention, the spotlight was on her, and he would not steal it. A sweet melody entered his mind, and the Sea chirruped enthusiastically upon recognizing the mental tones. Sweet, dear Lilith!
Watch this!
She was calling his attention, she had not forgotten him! Oh, but what would such a lovely being do now? However, her tricks with the other males were far less than what he had expected. She was... Flirting?! With them! A piteous cry left the young Sea as he watched on, seeing her pass Niagareth before softly caressing his back with her tail. From there she moved to Sretoth, entwining claws with him for brief seconds, before flying to Roluth... Only to nip him softly on his back as well! Oh why, why had she called to him?! So he could see such displays and break his little heart further? Another piteous cry left the Sea, who currently glided now as he watched on. Perhaps he had been way over in his head? Surely he should not even be here...The male couldn’t help but lean against a wall lightly, the pain he felt close to his shoulders was becoming unbearable. All the strain his Sea was suffering with his wings, he could fully feel it – while moments before he had felt nothing. Of course, Veiruth had blocked that out from him, the sweet dear. He had not wished his Mine to know how much he hurt. But now, now the pain wasn’t even strong enough to advert him from a second feeling, a feeling of rejection. It made him feel as if a hole had made its way into his chest, running right though his heart. And he could see what Veiruth did, he could see Lilith flirting with each male in turn – while he tried his best to keep up with the rest. He had expected his Sea to retire, ready to welcome him back and sooth to his strained wings – and his injured heart. But in a flash those emotions were gone, replaced by strong determination – and fueled by rage... A loud bulge resounded in the night’s air, coming from the glimmering form of the Sea as he once more placed another boost into his wings. Why she had called to him – just so he could watch her displays of affection with others – was beyond him, but Veiruth would have nothing of it either way. The little Sea sped as fast as he could, his small body rigidly aligned to be as aerodynamically as he could muster. Only his tail wavered, used to change directions, before he sped closer and closer to the rest of the group. An indignant bulge was given once more as he passed Niagareth, seeming to scold the late arrival as he rushed. High-rank or not, he had no right to be there! He hadn’t been willing enough to be in this from the beginning! Otherwise he would have never been late! Poor Waterfall, the Sea had just taken his anger off on him. Veiruth could understand – to an extent – her displays with Roluth and Sretoth. They had been in the flight since the beginning, along with himself. But Niagareth? He was not worthy of even having the chance to fly her! Now he had caught up with both Roluth and Sretoth, the Sea looking upwards to watch the flying Queen.
And then he dared, flying higher than Roluth – above Lilith herself! He took a moment to look down at her, admiring the way her pale hide glowed in the silver rays of the moon, before he allowed a soft croon to escape his throat – a soft melody, short and sweet, as he gazed down at her lovely form. No, he could not be mad with her... She was far to precious and sweet for him to be mad at all. She had been gliding, and the male was thankful – for it meant he could reach her. Had she been speeding like before, no doubt the Sea would have never catch up to begin with. He chirped softly, an inquisitive tone as he requested both permission and forgiveness for what he was about to do. Suddenly he had dove, enough to be below her now, before the Sea gave a half turn – flying with his back to the ocean and his chest to the moon. It was a trick he liked, and one he was impressed to see it being performed by a behemoth of a dragon like Lilith, however hard it was.
Though he would not be able to fly like this for much too long, so he would have to move fast. Careful – and with precision – he inched closer to her, until his muzzle was able to lick her hide softly. His spot of choice was the line where jaws and neck connected, a tender display of affection. He just wished to show her just how much she meant to him – and how he knew she was so delicate, being delicate to not hurt her as he showed his adoration. The Sea would have even believed she tasted sweet, though that was probably his mind playing with his senses. With that done he allowed himself to fall, using a u-turn to straighten back to the normal flying position, before gliding for a moment. It was enough to make him fall back, now just half a dragonlength in front of Niagareth, before he kept his pace steadily. His wing joints ached, his body screamed at him to stop and the warm blood that once filled his belly was on its last reserves. But he still went on, he would see this flight to the end – however painful it should result to be for him afterwards.((Wow... Well, I was inspired. XD Well, it’s almost two pages on word... Though at least it is not five, right? ^^;; And I am officially in love with my Sea. <3))

Veiruth, the smallest Chaser, had taken it upon himself to perform his trick first. Lilith, though delighted by his bravery, was worried that he would strain himself too much. She also thought her spur of the moment idea had hurt the poor Sea. Another little something she’d have to ask him forgiveness for. But she simply couldn’t have dropped that far behind to flirt with him, also! She didn’t want him to feel… like he didn’t belong! No, quite the contrary, she wanted him to feel, if only for a while, like the king of the dragons, though draconic kind never really had kings.
When she craned her head backward to watch him, her eyes sparkled. His feelings had been hurt, yes, but he was still trying, still willing himself to go on. Now Veiruth was passing Niagreth, now Roluth… and there! The Sea had passed Sretoth, and was higher than Roluth. Could it be? Could this Sea—yes! Lilith turned her neck so far that she feared a cramp, but saw Veiruth flying above her: way higher than a Sea had ever flown before.
Then the Sea dove, and Lilith found herself watching him almost happily… okay, really happily. She watched, delighted, as he flipped over, much like she had with Sretoth, and was unable to follow his approaches anymore until she felt a draconic ‘kiss’ on the spot where her neck met her head. Her body vibrated, but she knew he was gone, fallen back from the strain on his wings. She crooned, though to no one in particular. Then she craned her neck around again. Who would try a trick on her next?

Sretoth had to admit he was beginning to feel a little tired. Going between and keeping himself about even with Lilith in flight was straining. This is not a race with the Sunshine, A’vic was telling him. Save your energy. Well, the flight, Sretoth sensed, was nearing its end. He could easily last. But he didn’t keep working to stay ahead, Sretoth allowed himself to drift back a little. Maintaining this new position, his shoulder more even with Lilith’s mighty haunches, wasn’t as important to him as the one he had taken up before. Flying would be easier.
It was just as Sretoth had started to drop back that Lilith took him by surprise (yet again) with a sudden dive. Remembering her anger the last time she had done something like this, he quickly adjusted his flight to follow. But then the Sunshine threw her wings open and started climbing again. Sretoth hovered, watching her with wondering curiosity. Lilith hurtled up, past Niagareth, and drew her tail along the Waterfall’s back.
Yellow flashed through Sretoth’s violet eyes. What was she doing? And now Lilith was coming towards him, flipping onto her back to glide upside-down below him. Her claws touched his and he felt the impulse to close his own claws aroud hers, catch her- it seemed a foolish trick to come so near her suitors only to flirt. But Sretoth hesitated- this wasn’t quite how he thought the Flight would end and he found himself expecting more of Lilith- too long. Lilith dropped, flipped back over, and flew off again.
This time she headed for Roluth, but, like she had for Niagareth, flew above the Forest’s back. Here she nipped at his spine. Sretoth was the only one she had risked flying below? Was that good? He crooned to Lilith as she shot off again. Lovely Sunshine. Her touch seemed to have released another burst of energy in Sretoth and he shot, seemingly effortlessly, after her.
A’vic staggered as another powerful wave of lust flooded him, brought on by Lilith’s quick contact with Sretoth. He was finally beginning to merge with his dragon, his control faltering by the second. It was almost as though he could feel wind against his wings as well as the cool wall of Lilith’s weyr against his cheek. An odd sensation indeed.
Sretoth was still radiating joy, even more so since he was excited about Lilith’s unique way of contacting him. But it was nothing compared to the enthusiastic lust that emanated from the Mineral. A’vic was practically exhausting himself with the work of controlling the feelings Sretoth swamped His with as well as feeling energy from the strength of the dragon he was combining with.
Strange indeed. Hopefully Ala wouldn’t ask too many questions about what the Flight was like after- A’vic wasn’t quite sure how he could answer without sounding stupid. To his sister at least.
Sretoth had nearly forgotten Veiruth. The Sea’s angry bugle took him by surprise. He half-watched, still reluctant to remove his gaze from Lilith, as the Sea shot forward with astounding strength and speed. It bugled again, at Niagareth now. Sretoth snorted, the Waterfall had been late, but this was a Flight! Rage could be taken out elsewhere…. Where Veiruth would surely fail. Maybe he was smart to do that now, while the Waterfall was probably too distracted to really react.
Sretoth bit back an indignant bark as Veiruth twirled and licked Lilith’s throat. The Sea obviously didn’t plan to catch her. It looked to Sretoth more like an affectionate farewell. Perhaps the movement was not rude as it first seemed; maybe the Sea was exhausted and only showing his love before leaving.
Veiruth surprised Sretoth again by not leaving and instead dropping back again, closer to Niagareth now. Sretoth was amazed by the strength of the little dragon. But soon the Mineral was totally focused on Lilith again. She was flying fast, and his main goal was to keep up. The burst of energy was wearing off. Although Sretoth was not straining to fly, he could feel his body beginning to tire. It wasn’t fighting-Thread tired, exhausting dodging, diving, and flicking between; it was more a going-a-long-time-without-sleep tired. Maybe explainable, normally Sretoth would be sleeping right now.
That thought dragged a barely audible rumble from his belly. He caught himself quickly and concentrated more fully on Lilith and the flight. Was he thinking too much? Sretoth felt like he was, he was at least distracting himself with his own musings as he flew. Should maybe a Flight be more instinctual?
Flying along that line, Sretoth allowed his next antic to be one that seemed not as creative as his first trick, but one that seemed a bit more natural and probably more common. The Mineral still did not touch Lilith, perhaps she had seemed happy when Veiruth had, but she had not when Roluth had and he suspected her reaction to him would be more like the one to the Forest than the Sea. No, instead Sretoth cupped his wings and dropped a little below Lilith’s altitude. Then he paused again, hovering for a moment, hesitating. Thinking again- he didn’t like that idea anymore.
So Sretoth twisted quickly around, spiraling practically on his tail around and shooting up, folding his wings in a position that allowed him to spiral. Up, up, above Lilith, between her and the other dragons. His wings snapped open and he stopped abruptly, above the rest but feeling slightly confused. Somewhere in the back of his lust-driven mind the Mineral felt A’vic urging him on. Sretoth almost smiled, about time the rider did something more than chide him. Folding his wings again, he dove in front of Lilith, scooped below her and came back up behind and slightly below. With another tight turn, he brought himself facing the direction the rest were flying again and crooned softly and lovingly to Lilith. Lovely Sunshine.
Now he flew lower than Lilith, but still kept his shoulders somewhat even with her haunches, the position he had decided on previously. Even if Sretoth was not the dragon who caught Lilith, he felt he would be very satisfied with his first chase. Hopefully the beautiful Sunshine would feel that way too when she chose her mate.

As it happened, Sretoth was next. Lilith watched the slight falter in the Mineral’s wings. She looked to see him drop below the Chasers. Was he trying to do what Lilith had done earlier? No! He stopped too soon. What did this Mineral have in mind? Of course something that Lilith didn’t imagine.
In fact, this was nothing that Lilith ever imagined. Or maybe she would have, in her wildest dreams. Either way, Sretoth’s trick took the glowing queen by surprise. Instead of doing what she thought he would do (a trick not exactly that unordinary or extraordinary; also a trick Zen doesn’t know because Sparrow didn’t say it), dear Sretoth did something totally different.
He spiraled up. Up past Roluth and up past even Lilith herself. She flipped her head around quickly, and watched as Sretoth stopped and hovered over her shining golden body. She watched again as he dove in front of her (a wonderful display of self-control, she realized), and fell slightly behind. No matter, his display was brilliant; he also had enough self-discipline to not touch her.
Now he fell slightly behind her… no! He was keeping pace with her haunches! The smart Mineral! Lilith crooned for him, but kept her pace. She would not move, seeing as two more Chasers had to go. Who would be the next?

Niagareth crooned as Lilith dragged her tail across his back. She had chosen him first! On the ground, M'tan's back tingled slightly, as if someone had drawn a finger across it. Niagareth watched silently as the Sea preformed for the Sunshine, sighing in regret. Didn't the poor fool realize that he had no hope of winning? It saddened Niagareth to know that the Sea's hoped would surely be let down. A Sunshine's maiden Flight should show how perfect her Clutches could be - a Clutch with a Sea as the sire would likely have few, perhaps none, of the larger dragons within it. Besides, the weaker dragon would probably drop out before Lilith's Choice.
He watched, again silently, as Sretoth performed his second trick. The Mineral was probably the only other true choice for Lilith, if she wanted an impressive first Clutch. The Sea was no choice at all, and the Forest would be a worse choice than an Earth. It was surprising that they had attempted Chasing, though Niagareth did not begrudge them the attempt.
Now the Sea was slightly ahead of him; he surged forward with a powerful blast of his wings, overtaking the much smaller dragon easily. A lazy roll brought him out next to Sretoth, and about even with Lilith's wings. The three dragons were forming a 'V' formation similar to flocking Terran ducks or geese, though Niagareth would soon move out of his position to perform his trick. With a subtle angling of his wings, he glided off to the right, banking over Lilith and Sretoth as he did so.
A dip in his flightpath brought him a few dragonlengths in front of Lilith, which was a safe distance for what he was about to do. Flaring his wings and backwinging for a moment, he first shot up above Lilith and the other Chasers, before falling backwards, nearly landing on Lilith, but managing not to touch her. He flew backwards and upside down for a moment, heading in the wrong direction, before quickly rolling and flipping, pushing forward to his prior position, reforming the 'V'.
On the ground, M'tan felt really horrible. It had taken a while to sink in, but he finially understood why the others had been apologizing. He hadn't known that Zenniel was an empath! And he had come charging lustfully into the room, with no thought of controlling his emotions at all. He'd apologize, but he really would look like a dunce, after the others had. Especially this late afterwards...

Niagreth, in all his beauty, was to try to impress her next. Lilith couldn’t help but notice the muscles slide underneath his hide: mighty and powerful. Niagreth himself was a very nice looking dragon. His hide was nice, sleek silver. He was large, larger than any of the other chasers, and Lilith liked that about a dragon. He was by no means the largest of the Waterfalls, nor the largest of the Minerals, for that matter. Instead, he was just large enough to be large, if, Lilith thought gaily, that made any sense.
Before Niagreth made any move for her, the Sunshine made a startling discovery: Veiruth was a small dragon, and Niagreth, a large Waterfall, was also slightly small. Not one dragon that was chasing her tonight, or rather this morning, was larger than 45 meters long. But did this pretty little bugger (yes, a word Zen likes, and a word Lilith’s rider shall use on her many times) care? She shouldn’t! It was her maiden Flight, which was now mostly over, so why worry when everyone was looking to her to lead the Weyr into times of happiness?
Niagreth moved, soaring past Veiruth (the poor Sea) and coming up to Lilith and Sretoth. Roluth was behind because she had surged past him. Then Niagreth settled down in a sort of style that made Sretoth, who was slightly behind, take on the bottom part of the ‘V’ while Niagreth and Lilith became the top parts of the ‘V’ in the V-formation. Then Niagreth surged forward and up, and the Queen found herself trying to guess where he was until she felt the soft beat of air above her wings. She knew he was above her without really touching her. Oh how sweet, he had in mind not to touch a Queen! Then, for she didn’t not know what happened next, all she knew was that he was there: beside her again. The trick was simple, but, in all actuality, hard. Not that what Lilith thought was simple and hard made any sense to anyone else (not even her rider).
And last, Lilith believe, was Roluth. The sky around them was turning a light pre-dawn gray. They would have to hurry if they were to see the island in its full wonder by dawn. As it was, they were almost on top of it. Soon, and very soon, Lilith would choose her mate. Soon, and very soon, one of these lucky suitors would become hers. The others, the unlucky ones, would go wearily back to their Weyr. Maybe they would be happy, maybe they would be mad that they hadn’t Flown her, but all would have a place in Lilith’s heart as the dragons who Chased her on her maiden Flight. Now how wonderful would that be?

((second time's the charm!))
He was certain that his height was causing Lilith a little frustration, but He needed it for His trick He had been planning for a while. He would appologize.
Suddenly, He saw Lilith fly back and begin to flirt with the others. He really didn't pay much attention to the others and how they had been flirted with. Yet when he felt the nip on his back, he rumbled pleasantly and as she flew away to regain her position he crooned, asking for forgiveness for all the unorthodox things that he had done in the Flight.
C'it's last action was to look over at Zenniel with an apology on his face. He became C'it/Roluth then, and forgot really everything else, flying in the sky after Sunshine Lilith. As he felt the rush of joy and lust that came with the nip on the back, he looked over at Zenniel and smiled sensually. She seemed to be glowing as much as the golden dragon in the sky!
He felt the familiar elation of the contest part coming again. He also felt another coming up on him, and looking around saw it was the Sea.
He rumbled to the smaller dragon. This Sea he greatly respected, this one had energy and the ability to be great. He was astonished as he watched the little dragon say his 'good-bye' to Lilith, a trick...but really still a good-bye. He gave the equilvalent of a draconic smile and nodded toward the Sea and turned back to Lilith.
The Mineral gave a simple dive-like trick that made Him snort a little, the Sea was more deserving than that Mineral! He was not going to allow that Mineral to win, never!
Then the Waterfall flew to make a V with the Mineral and Lilith. What was that late dragon going to do? Shocked, He watched as the dragon almost landed on top of Lilith, but at least he had enough control not to. He then flew back to create the new V formation again.
Roluth guessed it was his turn and gurgled. Please watch closely my dear Lilith. He requested of Her politely. He flew a little lower, making it easier to see what he was looking for.
He finally saw it a few seconds later and shot towards it like an arrow, falling out of sight. He crooned to Lilith so that she knew he was still there but remained where he was for a minute, flying inside the cloud for a little distance.
When he felt that he had confused them all enough he erupted from it, glistening with water droplets of the cloud, and seemed to appear beside Lilith, His wing overlapping hers. His was not touching hers, just moving exactly as hers was...no danger. He then bowed his head to her and flipped back without touching her. As he was flipping he crooned again to her asking forgiveness...perhaps because he was meshed with C'it now, but that was not certain.
He backed off and kept a dragons-length behind the V made by the three dragons. He was happy with this Flight no matter what.
C'it hit the wall as Roluth did this trick. Usually he did this trick to end Flights, but he had turned it into something beautiful....amazing. C'it/Roluth was looking at Zenniel now with lust-glazed eyes, sweating.

Oh what a perfect display! Roluth’s display was better than Niagreth’s, but less than Veiruth’s. She crooned to him, to all of her Chasers, a low croon that was felt deep in her throat to come out of her maw like… well, a bulldozer. But this bulldozer sound didn’t sound at all like the Terran machine did, it took on a lighter, lovelier note that crescendoed into the highest note a dragon was able to make. Lilith was immensely proud of all the dragons that had chosen to Chase her tonight, but only one may be her prize. Knowing this, and knowing the dragon she was going to choose, the golden-hued mammoth beast of the skies dove…
At that exact moment the whole of the sea was lit with a wonderful magnitude of colors. The sky was instantly transformed from the gray of pre-dawn to the rainbow of colors of dawn. Rukbat showed its face to the sleeping world, and somewhere far off a canine barked to announce its arrival. From the shining red tip of it that appeared light flew everywhere. Hues of purple, pink, red, and orange filled the sky along with hints of the blue that would live in the sky during the day. As the sun rose more the colors spread farther across the sky, and the more beautiful the world would become. The island was lit up, the great light from the sun shining into the very center of it. The island was large, large enough to fit at least five Sunshines of Lilith’s size. And every single leaf was outlined in the morning sun. If one had the sight of a dragon, one could see the individual veins in each leaf, every small indent on the bark of the trees, and every pebble in the stream that cut through the island. One could also see the waterfall that fed the stream its water, and each individual droplet of water as it was kicked up by the waterfall’s force, and how the droplets of water sparkled in the sun. And if one looked hard enough, one could almost see the skitterings of animals that were waking up to the light of a new day: animals that had been on Pern forever, or brought over by the first human colonists all those long Turns ago.
But what really showed brilliantly was the Sunshine herself as she dove downward for this wonderful island. She dove just so that Rukbat’s rays shined on her golden hide and illuminated her. The light from the sun strengthened her own glowing, and made her look like a giant falling star. Faster, faster, faster she fell, down to the island with powerful force. When it looked like she would barrel into the side of the island and be no more, she banked suddenly, flaring her wings. Her wings in the sunlight looked like the wings of an angel, flowing beautifully out behind her, stabilizing her fall. But she was still going in too strong, she would graze the tops of the trees… and that was exactly what she wanted. Extending her head forward, she collected the top of one tree, pulling the fragile branches away from the tree with her mouth. She held the tree top in her mouth as, as quickly as she could, she beat her angel wings to ascend to the heavens.
The male she chose sparkled with brilliance in the morning sun. His hide gave off a coloring that dazzled her lust-craved eyes. A croon to him escaped her throat, magnificent and mighty, though somewhat dimmed by the branch she held in her mouth. Then she was upon him, her wings flared again, though this time she was hovering. Hovering under him. Now, with a slight push of her wings she was hovering over him. Lightly, she twisted her neck around to offer the tree top to him, a gift before mating. Since Zen doesn’t want the Flight to end with her offering something to him, we’ll say he took it. Lilith crooned happily, and, still hovering, looked him over. He would be perfect: he would be hers.
We have chosen you. Lilith said, a curious mix of Zenniel and Lilith. The ‘we’ was used because Zenniel accepted this decision, even though it was ultimately for the dragoness to decide. We have chosen you to mate with us. Again, the ‘we’, though this time Zenniel was a little perturbed. She was a virgin, and had never felt this lust before. For a moment she broke free of the dragon-lust hold on her to look at her suitor. He was standing there, looking brilliant, if a little strained. He had been holding back his dragon’s lust for her! How sweet! Then the dragon-lust grew stronger, so strong that Zenniel was pulled back into her dragon’s mind.
The male that flew below her was now hers. He was no-one else’s and they could not take him away from her. Lilith crooned one more time to her new mate. No, this was not Veiruth, though his hide sparkled with the rays of the sun, a sheen that made him look every bit as nice as the stream in the island. No, this was not Roluth, though he looked like the tree-branch she had given her mate, and sparkled with colors that looked like the dew that had covered the plants and ground of the island. And that left two dragons: Niagreth, who looked wholly like the waterfall that sent torrents of water splashing down to the pool below on the island, and Sretoth, who looked like the land itself: tired but willing to survive another day if it meant living.
She knew who she had chosen, and the male who had been chosen flew underneath her, ready to twist around and… well, begin to mate with her. This male sparkled wonderfully, and Lilith had chosen well. And A’vic wouldn’t know what hit him. Yes, Lilith had chosen Sretoth. She had chosen the Mineral over the Waterfall. Was it because she knew one more than the other? Because she felt more comfortable around an older color than a newer one (this meant Bronzes had been around longer than Waterfalls)? It was neither; she had chosen him for his personality, and for his drive. And A’vic would make a wonderful Weyrleader.
In her Weyr, Zenniel found herself driven insatiably toward A’vic. She found she could see him through her eyes, but she could also see Sretoth, hovering over the island far away with Lilith. He was taller than her, and she found herself looking up to him. Her eyes met his blue ones, and she smiled briefly, still too far into this dragon-lust to think straight. She wondered how this action that Lilith had made would affect the Weyr, but the thought was cut off when another wave of dragon-lust came on, and she knew no more…

Sretoth thought that Lilith had planned the flight very well. With the rising Rukbat to back her, the Sunshine's hide glimmered with a brighter light than the dragon would ever had imagined. It was beautiful. He crooned to her, watching her as they approached the island below. By now, the lust driving Sretoth was very, very powerful and kept him focused on the glowing Sunshine. She was finer than all the details of the island, no matter how magnificent they might seem at the moment.
Sretoth watched as he dove, not following this time. Lilith had managed to confuse him with her diving- sometimes wanting them the follow and others not. He figured he would rather think of a new trick for her. And then she nearly crashed into the cliff. Sretoth's eyes whirled and he barked to her warningly. But the Sunshine had control of herself- of course she did. She twisted and rose again, skimming over the treetops.
Gathering one in her mouth.
What an odd thing to do. Sretoth watched, mystified, as she swerved and rose again. She flew back to her suitors, the great top of a tree clutched in her powerful jaws. What did she plan to do with that? Then Lilith crooned... to him? He felt sure. Sretoth crooned back, just as mighty and loving but perhaps slightly louder because he had nothing in his mouth to stop him. Lilith seemed to be showing off her agility again, first hovering below him and then above, and then twisting her neck around his...
Sretoth returned the gesture smoothly, crooning softly to her in a low voice. The treetop seemed an odd gift, but he accepted that too and held it carefully in his jaws. What exactly he was to do with the branch, Sretoth wasn't sure. But it had been a present, so he was careful with it.
We have chosen you. Her lovely voice seemed all the more wonderful in the heat of the moment- and since this time she was not angry, as she had been the last time she had spoken to Sretoth. We have chosen you to mate with us.
A'vic stumbled towards Zen, his mind one with Sretoth and by no means controlling his movements and thoughts. She looked beautiful, glowing like her Lilith outside.... And like many others, was rather short compared to him. Eh. He returned Zen's smile and gathered her in his arms.
Much as Sretoth twisted around Lilith, gathering the gigantic dragon in the gentle hold of his talons and tail. He still clutched the treetop in his mouth, although the strength of his feelings at the moment seemed to be spilling out into his muscles and his grip on the branches was tightening. Twigs splintered off here and there and leaves fluttered away, a little train following the flight of the dragons. Sretoth's wings pumped, once again filled with a new sort of energy, keeping the pair aloft. He would carry her off into the rising sun.
((*strokes Sretoth* Sparrow might write romantic stuff like crap but she is very proud of her dragon now. x3))

It was true that Roluth was upset, he had not won Lilith...he had not won the prize and he had let down C'it. Yet he was happy, happy that he had taken part in the Flight that had turned out to be such a great masterpeace. He could now think...well better...as the lust of the Flight began to recede but he knew that C'it would have lasting effects.
C'it was leaning against the wall outside of the Weyrwoman's Weyr. He was sweating, his heart was beating and he was only half in his body. He wasn't certain when he started walking, but he did hear Roluth say that he needed to cool off.
Roluth glided back to the Weyr, too tired to even pop between. He knew that C'it would probably not take his advice, the lust had been great...had been more than a normal Flight. Really, Roluth hoped that C'it was up to try this again, he wasn't done trying for Lilith...not yet.
C'it glided into the room, it was a simple one. He smiled lop-sided at the occupent. " I'm sorry, but I need someone right now. The flight-lust was too great." That was all he said.
((Anyone feel free to be the someone, C'it is Bisexual for those who don't know. Feel free to be anyone...C'it doesn't care right now!! >_<))

He had known, he had always known. From the beginning, the Sea had been aware that he would not win. He was, after all, only a Sea -- a low ranking dragon amidst this group of humongous beings. But she was so lovely, so sweet, he had hoped perhaps his rank and size would have not mattered. But it had only been wishful thinking of his part. The Sea's eyes narrowed, watching as Niagareth had surged forwards to perform his trick. Veiruth knew one thing, he hated the Waterfall -- and with a passion. A snort of disgust was given, though the Mineral he had neutral feelings towards him. And Roluth... As unorthodox as he had been throughout the flight, the Forest had still shown respect for him, and so the Sea returned it equally.
It pained him, it pained him to see her gift to the Mineral, and see her become one with the golden male. But he preferred Sretoth to Niagareth, Veiruth would have never known what he would have done should Lilith had chosen that glow-wasting and arrogant male. A faint croon was given, before he detached himself from the rest of the flying dragons, gliding softly back home. His wings cried with the strain they had suffered, and at points he had lowered right above the ocean itself, claws and tail lazily drifting through the surface as he went. He was so tired, so exhausted, he could hold out no longer...
{Return to me, my love. Do not leave me, Veiruth.}
The mental tones awakened the dragon from his tired state, crooning faintly to his Mine, who had long since fled the chambers of Zenniel, and now awaited him near the coast of the ocean, expecting his Sea to return. To come back and be part of him once more. Tired wings carried the dragon to the shore, the beast crashing into the soft sands in exhaustion, before His ran over to his side. He could only see his mouth moving, commanding a small group of people along with him. And then the Sea closed his eyes, too exhausted to go on.
((Short, but my muse is dead. I'll make a post in the rider's weyrs later, and the group of people were healers. Veiruth won't be flying for a bit. XDD))
