Zenniel had known since… shards, since they had chosen Wings. She had known the day before that Lilith was up to something. Her Sunshine had been acting weird, sending her weird signals with her emotions. Zenniel just thought that it had something to do with Xiri having a clutch (sired by none other than Cree), and Lilith not having anything. But then the Sunshinerider had known something was up when Lilith snapped (here the term is used literally, the Sunshine almost tore a chunk of meat out of his neck) at poor Dregeth. Dregeth had done nothing wrong, and yet Dregeth was the center of her hatred.
Until Lilith fell asleep, and then Zenniel could stop restraining her dragon from going out and killing poor Dregeth. Zenniel, just for safe measure, had told Dregeth and his rider to go out of the Weyr for the day. She had no idea that that night Lilith would awaken with a passion to feed. Poor Dregeth would not get to Fly the Sunshine that had tried to kill him.
Coincidentally, Zenniel was awakened first. She could feel the hunger flowing through her body, an undying lust for blood… no, that wasn’t her. She wasn’t hungry, she had just eaten nearly two hours before. So the only other explainable theory for this was Lilith was ready to rise. Zenniel had felt this sudden urge to feed when Xiri had begun to shine. Worriedly, the girl checked the sleeping dragon outside her Weyr. Another pang of hunger shot through her, and the girl clutched at her stomach. She frowned slightly, and swung out of the bed, the furs still clumped around her legs. If the pangs were right, Lilith should be awakening right---
She was ravenous. The creature that awoke was not Lilith, but a monster that yearned to feed. She was nothing but a stomach with wings, for all she cared. She was hungry. She rose from her ledge in the Weyr, and trumpeted what could have passed for a battle cry, but no Thread fell tonight, and she knew that… if only in a far corner of her mind. Her eyes swirled in multicolored hues, there was a lime green color, which was her conscious—but pushed away—mind, a light blue, another of the conscious mind’s thoughts, but most prominent was a dark, lusty purple.
She could feel it. She could feel the earth, she thought. It pulsed beneath her, but really that was just the increased amount of blood in her veins. She stalked, catlike, to the entrance of her Weyr, and bugled a challenge. Then the monster that had been Lilith jumped from her Weyr into the dark night. The light of Pern’s two moons shown down on the silent night, which suddenly wasn’t so silent anymore. She was aware that her golden pelt was shining with a passion, and she reveled in the fact that it was so bright—bright enough to light up in the moon’s light. The monster had a grand old time picking out what buck to eat, for it had to be a buck, her mind told herself. Usually dragons in this type of state dove for the closest one… but Lilith was different, oh yes. Lilith chose her buck carefully, singling him out because of his size. Then, when her claws had sliced into his tender flesh and she had taken him a little ways away to feed on him, she reveled in her choice.
Don’t eat it, Lilith. Eh, what? What was that talking to her? Nevermind. She shoved the thought into the back of her head, and bowed down to take a bite of the beast. Lilith, do not eat the meat. Blood it. Oh, there it was again. Who was that, and why were they interrupting her meal? She would have their head. She had lifted her head a bit out of distraction, but was now hovering uncertainly over the buck, wondering if she should follow the voice’s command. Lilith, I implore you. Do not eat that buck. Blood it! The voice said again. Hmm, implore… funny word. The only person she knew who could---Zenniel? Lilith forced her way back into her own body, and sounded scared, confused, as she asked Zenmine, what is wrong--? The monster was winning over again, the blood coursing from the buck’s severed arteries looked so good… It’s alright, dear heart. I’m with you, don’t be afraid. Why wouldn’t that blasted voice shut up? All she wanted to do was eat! She was starving. Don’t eat the buck, blood it only. The voice was ever persistent, and the monster was contemplating on just following the voice’s wishes just to get it out of her brain…
Zenniel was watching from her Weyr, well aware that Lilith needed her emotional support since Lilith herself was no longer… herself. That would be very easy to do if she herself didn’t need emotional support from the dragon with which she was supporting. But, mustering all her strength, she dispelled the thoughts of lust (which were given to her tenfold because of the now-waking male dragons, and her being an empath, and her dragon not bothering to close the mind link), and only though reassuring thoughts. She clutched the side of the Weyr, leaning upon it, her lithe body suddenly seeming frail from all of this effort to keep from succumbing into the love of her dragon. “Don’t eat the meat.” Zenniel said aloud as well as thought it. She found that if she spoke aloud she could concentrate on other things, such as keeping the monster her great mammoth of a dragon had become from eating the buck.
Slowly, ever so slowly, the head lowered. The large head, with the utmost care, cut from the neck a large piece of meat. Lilith discarded that, and ducked her head to the dead beast. She did not have time to give thanks for her meal, for the monster who she had become was gently (but quickly) sucking out the lifeblood of the beast…
‘Good girl’ Zenniel thought, and awaited the first of her would-be suitors.

[glow=darkgoldenrod,2,300]Dr'ym[/glow]
Dr'ym sat up suddenly sweating, breathing hard. The lust pulsing from a dragon was very powerful...he saw Peth on the ledge twitching and shivering.
Is that Lilith?
Yes. Even the Mineral's voice was shivering.
Poor Zenniel! That dragon-lust is powerful...like a mostrous beast!
This time Peth didn't say anything, he simply slumped back into his sleeping position...refusing to go. Dr'ym smiled, Peth loved Kindleth too much to chase even Lilith. Dr'ym looked over at Malin, now he couldn't sleep. He got up slowly and began to pace. He had never been so affected by dragon-lust...this was crazy.
He wiped the sweat away.
[glow=forestgreen,2,300]C'it[/glow]
Roluth woke C'it up with a bellow, instantly the man knew what was going on. He grabbed a shirt and hastily put it on as he vaulted to the Forest's back and they took off from their weyr, heading for the Weyrwoman's. He jumped off quickly, Roluth not even touching down, and went over to steady Zenniel a little...she was slumped a bit. Not surprising, he thought, Lilith was out with force.
Roluth kept away from the queen and blooded his first kill, making a second one lazily. One of his nearly full purple eyes was always on Lilith. C'it shuddered at the intensity of it already, and they were only blooding kills!
Roluth blooded his second.

Sretoth awoke A'vic with an excited bellow, and it wasn't much longer before A'vic fully awoke and realized what was going on. Lilith's trumpet still echoed around the Weyr, and Sretoth waited impatiently for his rider. Already the Mineral's eyes were flashing a dark but vibrant purple. A'vic vaulted onto the dragon's back and held on tight during the short ride to the Weyrwoman's weyr. As soon as the rider was off, Sretoth took to the skies again, this time headed for the feeding pens.
A'vic hurried to Zennial, who appeared unsteady against the wall of her Weyr. Apparently Sretoth hadn't been fastest, as the Mineralrider quickly recognized C'it next to the Weyrwoman. He joined the pair, clenching his fists. The flight had not started yet but already Sretoth was intense with lust, and his rider could feel it.
In the feeding pens, Sretoth kept a violet eye on Lilith while he hunted. He gave the Sunshine plenty of space as he grabbed a large buck and landed to blood it, not wanting to risk her injuring him like she had Dregeth. It wasn't the time for taking risks quite yet.
Finishing his first buck, Sretoth rose quickly to take another. He paid little attention to the Forest already in the pens. Competition, but his attention was on Lilith, the more deserving one. Landing, he began to blood his second kill.

The golden-hued dragon lifted her head when the first of the Chasers appeared. A Forest. Pheh, what the shards was he doing here? He would never Catch her, the queen of the skies! She shook her head as a low rumbling started in her throat. She ducked back to drink the rest of the first herdbeast before realizing that the herbeasts’ blood had been drunk dry. Letting out an exasperated sound, Lilith unfurled her great golden wings and launched herself into the air. She would feast on another until she was saturated.
The Sunshine flew carefully over the herds, which were panicking because of the behemoth hovering above them. When she finally figured out which one she would choose, she dove. Her wings snapped back, her head, like an arrow point, was foremost. Her claws, which would soon be stained with more blood, positioned so that she would kill the herdbeast in one stroke. The herdbeast in question was a cow laden with calf. The pregnant cow was meaty, sure, but Lilith was only out for the blood. She wasn’t going to have her rider tell her to blood the kill anymore. The cow stood no chance, and Lilith settled down neatly to blood her kill.
In the Weyr, Zenniel was surprised that Lilith didn’t need prompting anymore. She was aware of the two men that stood beside her, both with the same thing on their minds: lust from their dragons, and concern for her. She shook her head wearily, and leaned more heavily on the side of the Weyr. How come more suitors weren’t showing up? She sighed, but did not ask her dragon, nor did she ask the suitors. It would be a short Flight, this one.
Lilith was done blooding her second, and the baby calf had never had a chance. Her hide was shining brilliantly now, and the moon’s glints off of it made the hide even more presentable. Saturated, she unfurled her great wings again, and bellowed a challenge to the two male dragons who had decided to vie for her. Come get me~ She called, her eyes now swirling in the darker purple hues that meant love. Come get me if you can~
Then, with that said, Lilith jumped into the air, powerful and determined. This was her first Flight, and she would prevail.

Roluth was on his third herdbeast when Lilith Launched into the sky to begin the Flight. His deep rumble sounded, and he bugled challengingly at the other male and sensually at Lilith as he hurtled into the sky, conserving his energy for the better parts of the flight.
He wasn't going to use his energy at the beginning, no...this was going to be a long and glorious Flight if He had anything to say about it. So now with both lavender-purple eyes trained on Lilith's bright glow in the sky, He beat His wings leisurely keeping close...but not too close. My she was beautiful and big.
C'it knew that Roluth was a lover, but had never seen his dragon so...so passionate. Perhaps it was because he was chasing a queen, brilliantly Gold Lilith, but C'it rather liked this feeling. He still had control over his mind, he was used to dragon-lust be now with such a lusty Forest.
I will do my best in this Flight My C'it! Really the last thing that C'it figured Roluth would say that wasn't full of lust.
He smiled over at the Weyrwoman and leaned against a wall, eyes flashing at the prize...that and Weyrleadership, that suddenly could be his if Roluth could win this flight. C'it really wasn't that ambitious, yet if it fell into his clean lap he would take it in a heartbeat. C'it now felt the want of this as much as Roluth now wanted to catch Lilith.
C'it's eyes glittered as he was hit with even more dragon-lust from Roluth who had just launched into the sky after the glowing Lilith. To be Weyrleader...that was ambitious!
He was going to at least have fun in this Flight.

Sretoth replied to the Forest's bugle with his own agressive bellow; he did not plan to lose the Flight. The fact that Roluth was the only other suitor, but that was probably a good thing. The Mineral was sure he could outfly a Forest. He gave an affectionate croon to Lilith before leaping into the air after her.
Guided mainly by instinct- for Sretoth had never even chased a dragon before- he started off at a calmer pace. If the flight were to last a long time, he could reserve his energy, and if it were quick... well, extra strength was never a bad thing. The Mineral paid little attention to the Forest flying nearby, his vibrant purple eyes focused on the Queen ahead. Sretoth was careful not to let himself fall too far behind Lilith and not Roluth at all. He didn't want to give any sign that he could possibly be weaker than a Forest in front of the Sunshine.
A'vic leaned against the wall, his jaw and fingers worky as he worked to overpower the dragonlust. Sretoth had never flown before and this was a sensation that, though A'vic had heard about it, he had somehow not expected. At least he had not thought it would be as powerful as this. But he wasn't about to allow himself to fall to it.
The strength of the dragon-lust suddenly increased when Sretoth took off and A'vic closed his eyes as he struggled to refocus his mind. Shards, he almost regretted the Mineral not chasing anyone before now, at least the rider would have known more what would happen now. But maybe that would turn out an advantage... it was a virgin flight for both dragons. A'vic smiled weakly at the Weyrwoman and then gazed out of the Weyr at the sky, wondering where the dragons were right now.

A Forest and a Mineral, oh how lovely. Did they really think they could outfly her? Well, obviously if they were flying her in the first place. But this pretty little lady (or large lady, however you look at it) wasn’t going to be flown that easily. In fact, she had a plan on her hands, or claws, or wings: whatever you wanted to call them.
Lilith flew lazily above her suitors. What!? Lazily? Hadn’t she just been a monster with her prey? Oh, the monster had been sated. This pretty little girl, she was going to have her fun. In a second she dove, right in the middle of her suitors. Her wings were so close to her body that she dropped like a rock. They were over the water now, and Lilith could feel the salt assail her body. Closer and closer did she come to the sea. Only when she was less than a hundred feet from the water did she snap out her wings.
She had timed it perfectly, and an updraft, leftover from earlier in the day, sent her soaring back up to the sky. She knew that the males, who probably had not had enough leisurely time on their hands, would probably be stupefied as to how she had done that so easily. She crooned haughtily, and pumped her wings once. She was staying on the stronger updrafts, the ones that could hold even a dragon’s weight. She wondered, for a second, if the males were doing the same.
She risked looking back, but saw nothing, as a cloud had drifted over the moon. She did not care, though. She let out a bugle, reveling in the dragonlust she felt, and the wind under (and over) her wings, and also as a reminder to the Chasers that she was still there.
Zen, the poor girl, was nearly distraught. The lust that coursed through her came from six sources, even though three of them weren’t really there (one was including herself). Cree, as if sensing he should make matters worse, popped in from between that second and started chirping and humming away. He wanted to Chase, but knew that only dragons were chasing tonight. Poor Zen.

He laughed in his head at these almost sensual antics. He had been following her up when she shot straight down again, he did not follow. He was not that crazy. Instead he went straight into a cloud, hovering, until she came gliding...well...almost...back up.
He burst from the cloud to get behind her again and caught the updraft that Lilith was on, keeping to her side...almost out of sight. His lavender eyes shown intensly in the darkness of the night. He pumped his wings strongly, closing the distance by about half in two good strokes. If she thought that she could escape him, she must fly higher and faster.
Yet he gave a draconic grin. He felt the lust build and her shining hide was right in his vision over to the right. The Mineral was no where to be seen, but he did not matter...only Lilith did.
C'it's eyes clouded for a minute as the lust built, he shook his head and kept his cool. I must not bombard the Weyrwoman with my lust too, she has enough sources right now...he thought. Yet, he still leaked it...it was dragon-lust after all.

Sretoth did not think it would be a very good idea to follow Lilith in her dive, but swiveled out of her way and then paused to watch. The Mineral was, of course, impressed by the way the huge Sunshine was able to pull out a trick like that. Maybe that meant he could, but he didn't want to risk falling out of the flight if he didn't make it. As Lilith began to ascend again, he started forward towards her.
He didn't see Roluth at first as he fell into place to the side and slightly behind the Sunshine. As his violet eyes focused on the beautiful dragon before him he did notice the Forest- apparently getting more forward since he seemed to be closing in on Lilith. Sretoth kept his slight distance from the Sunshine though, he wanted the flight to be long- and didn't want anyone thinking that he was trying to copy Roluth because the Mineral had never flown before. Sretoth could come up with his own ideas, oh yes.
A'vic was gaining more control over himself, despite the ever-increasing dragonlust. That was a relief. He glanced at the Weyrwoman and C'it briefly, noticing the chirping Cree. What a relief to not have a flitt of his own to do the same...

Oh the NERVE! The dratted males hadn’t even tried her trick. She grumbled impatiently, and flapped her wings quickly, gaining more speed than she ever had before in her life. She was mad, and when one was mad on a mating flight, there were sure to be consequences. Oh how mad she was, and she would make them pay. The cloud drifted away from the moon, and once more Lilith’s hide sparkled gold. But she was very mad now, and she barked impatiently at their deed.
You males think you’re superior to me when you didn’t follow me? Well, Here she slowed down suddenly, the lust not fully taking over her anger. She let the males whisk past her, and she kept her eyes on both of them, You think you’re better than me: show it. I want you to do a trick that I would not think up. Her voice was a sort of low growl. She was very angry at them, the least they could have done was dove half of the way. But did either of them even try something like that? No!
Zenniel felt sorry for the males now, and she cast a glance at first A’vic, then Roluth’s rider. Cree, sensing something was wrong, chirped, and went between to where Xiri was. The Sunshine flitter had had her eggs in the Hatching Caverns because she wanted to feel like a big dragon, like her younger sister Lilith. So for everyone who wanted to know about why Xiri’s eggs were in the hatching caverns, that’s why. (=3)

Suddenly Lilith stopped and He flew past her. A trick, eh? He had one in mind...but that one would be for later, may even end the Flight. Not for now.
He Figured a quick one out, one that would be fun and not end the Flight.
The hault in mid-air was quick, His wings tucked swiftly to his sides as he then began to plummet down directly at Lilith. Dangerous...yes...but Roluth knew what he was doing. As he got really closer than usual flight would allow or would be appropriate he slammed out his wings and fluttered above her. He even went to the extreme of bending over his neck and touching Lilith quickly before swooping below her again into a hover.
He wanted to see the Mineral's trick...how dangerous would it be? Then maybe the Flight could continue...or perhaps he should end it....
C'it reeled and then clutched at the wall. Roluth was having fun, but it was wreaking havoc on him. The lust was building and this was going to be brutal when the two dragons finally met. At least C'it thought. This was up to Lilith really, a first Flight Mineral or the smaller Forest with a little more experience.
He sighed and looked over to see how the others were being effected.

Lilith's sudden stop took Sretoth by surprise, but the Mineral quickly backwinged and halted not too far ahead of her. She wanted a trick? Immediately his mind began working as he began planning something as original as he could get. Sretoth only half-watched Roluth's trick, more because the Forest went so near Lilith and he didn't want to take his eyes off her.
But he would need to now. Once Roluth began to hover again, Sretoth crooned to Lilith and folded his wings. Now your Sretoth will go, he murmured. Wind pushed against the Mineral as he plummeted, allowing gravity full control over himself. For a few long seconds, Sretoth only concentrated on keeping his wings to his side- the building air that forced itself up against his fall seemed determined to unfurl them.
Despite his freefall, Sretoth was still fairly far above the ground when he popped between. Moments later he exploded back into the air in a shower of water droplets- sparkling under the moonlight, but not quite as bright as his lovely Lilith's hide. He swiveled onto his back as quickly as he could and blew fire across the falling spheres. They erupted into steam that sizzled softly before getting blown away into the sky.
Finished, Sretoth turned again and took up a spot to the side of Lilith. His trick may not have been extremely dangerous- the Mineral had been going for beauty and a show of swift agility more than how willing he was to risk his hide. It may be good in some eyes to take risks, but a healthy dragon was better than a daring one in his opinion.
Sretoth's trick had sent a new and even more powerful wave of lust though A'vic, forcing him against the wall as he fought it. The cool, smooth surface seemed to help soothe the dragonlust, but it still seemed like a more powerful force than A'vic had ever encountered. He felt almost bad that his thoughts were more on the surges of feeling Sretoth was transferring him than the flight though. The Mineral was on his own here.

((Thought I could spice things up a bit. ;D I, however, do not expect him to win -- of course. XP))
Perhaps it had been Queen's Lilith uncontrolled lust what had drove him into competing, perhaps the Sea just thought he had a chance considering the other opponents. One might never know what, exactly, had drove Veiruth out of his Weyr ledge that night -- leaving a cursing Z'or to run off into the Queen's chamber, and await along with the other two men already present. He was small, yes, compared to the other competitors he was nothing more than a blue speck in the sky. But the Sea was driven by lust, he would win!
A buck was blooded, but that was all he could do before the Queen took to the air, instantly chased by Mineral and Forest. Crouching low to the ground, the Sea allowed his hind muscles to coil back, before his powerful legs propelled him upwards -- giving the male the boost needed to become airborne. Wings took over now, and soon he was chasing after Lilith, though far in the back of the line. Not once did he bulge to announce himself, no, instead the male kept a steady [if not somewhat slow] pace as he went. Bulging would be a waste of time and breath, and he couldn't be wasting anything right now. Not on this flight.
This was no Forest, no Grass or StormCloud. This was the most brilliant Queen in all of Pern, Sunshine Lilith, his radiant little Sunshine flying in the sky and showing off just how good she was.
By Faranth, the man would never know what had driven his Sea to compete, he was usually so skittish among larger dragons! Why, he rarely even rose for Grass dragons, and that was because they were sometimes almost as big as him! But the male could partially understand, Lilith's monstrous lust had been radiating through-out the whole Weyr without any check or restrain -- it was enough to drive anyone into madness. The blond man smirked lightly, turning to sweep an eye over young Zenniel -- the prize he was sure he would never have -- and the two other Riders present besides himself. Ah well, this should still be fun -- and prove to be entertaining. Of course, as much as Z'or knew his Veiruth would lose, the male did not let any of those thoughts filter towards his Bond. No, if Veiruth wanted to chase, and thought he could win, who was he to deny his darling creature and crush his dreams?
She was so beautiful, so vibrant, so agile and astounding, so... More than twice his size! Never, not once, did the Sea even considered how [exactly] would he carry her off into the sunset as her dragon knight in shinning armor, though his had definitely been pondering that since the beginning. Still, Z'or did not let the thought slip, but merely wished his Sea the best of luck before their minds entwined into one. No more were they two separate identities, but one. Z'or/Veiruth finally let out a bulge to announce his presence to all of Pern, continuing to fly after the Queen. He mostly kept to gliding and thermals, speeding up only when he thought the Queen and the others were beginning to get too far ahead.
No sooner she dove, the Sea had willingly followed. He watched the waves come closer and closer, the large mass of ocean dangerously calling out to him. But Lilith had not spread her wings yet, and so neither would he. Four hundred feet, three hundred feet, two hundred feet, one hundred- there! As she snapped her wings open the Sea did the same, stopping just around fifty feet or so above the behemoth of a Queen before he glided once more. The dive had been a strain, but the Sea refused to give out so early. The thermal quickly soared him back up into higher altitudes along with the others, and the Sea was glad for his small size -- for once.
A... Trick? His beloved Queen demanded a trick? The Sea was unsure, she sounded mad. But he had dove... Had the clouds hid himself from her view. Oh, but why? Stupid clouds! Still, if his Queen demanded a trick, he would fully agree and give her a thousand or more! Ok, maybe just one [he did not wish to tire out yet], but still! He would do it for Lilith! The Forest was first, followed by the Mineral, and the small blue watched the giants perform. But how dare he?! Touching the Queen without her permission! A loud hiss left his throat, Veiruth clearly showing his discomfort. These males were all so pushy, as if Lilith already belonged to them! They should know better, and respect the Queen. They had no right to push themselves into her personal space like that! The Sea hated when flirty Grasses did that with him, surely Lilith would feel the same discomfort as well! Right? And the Mineral, what was wrong in the minds of these males?! Between?! He was a fool! What if he missed, he would leave his Bond forever! Was this the right personality for a future Weyrleader and the mate of lovely Lilith? Surely not! Such daredevil actions would only get Holds and others enraged at them, and could even spawn out fights! The Sea growled lightly in distaste.
So it was Veiruth's turn, then.
Taking advantage of his small size, the blue dragon allowed another updraft to quickly toss him higher into the air, leveled with the bright moon. Ok, so not really leveled, but the Sea was directly on the path of her gorgeous silver rays. He relished the beauty for a mere second, before the small dragon dove once more -- just like before -- though this time he did not stop. Closer, closer, closer... There! Wings snapped open, stopping his frame a mere dragon length above the waves, now flying parallel with the ocean's surface. He twirled in the air, his back now to the waves, before twirling once more. A wing tip was allowed to lazily drift through the surface, then the other, the Sea showing off his agility and skill. He was smaller than all those huge things! He was more suited for tricks as positional as these! He hoped his beloved watched, eyes whirling with purples, reds, blues, greens and the faintest of pinks.
Satisfied he righten himself, allowing his tail to give one last tap to the waves, before the male lowered even more. This time his claws could feel the surface of the salted water, and he allowed an illusion to play. Pretending to crouch, the male used another updraft to soar up high, though from above he would have looked as though he had pushed himself upwards, leaving behind a small trail were his claws had presumably dug into the water surface... By using the water as his floor! Such a clever boy he was, oh yes he was! His wings ached from the effort it had all took, the Sea relishing the chance to glide now as he awaited to see what would happen next, crooning softly to the beautiful and glowing Lilith. Had she watched? Had she seen? Was she impressed? Oh, he hoped she was,it had all been done for her...

Lilith hadn’t really stated who should go first, but Roluth took it upon himself to do so. Lilith watched with anger (for she was still angry at the two for not following her) as the male plummeted. This took Lilith completely by surprise, and the Forest halted suddenly above her. Then, with almost quick precision, the Forest touched her. The nerve! Flying so close to a Sunshine to touch her? Still hovering, Lilith lashed her tail back and forth, and her eyes took on an angrier hue, somewhat purple-red. But Roluth’s trick was done, and she really hadn’t expected that. She wasn’t so sure she would let herself fall for him now, since he hadn’t gotten permission to touch her in the first place. She watched as he hovered slowly overhead, but now it was Sretoth’s turn.
Sretoth dove, which, much to Lilith’s joy, was what Lilith wanted them to do in the first place. Sretoth dove to the ground, which was actually covered in water. Lilith, with gently swirling eyes, watched him descend. She watched as, at once, he popped between, only to reappear above her. She gave a small croon as she watched the water droplets that came from him sparkle in the moonlight. Then she was surprised by what he did next: he blew fire on them, and they disappeared into smoke and steam. Oh, what a wonderful, beautiful display of work! Lilith wondered how he had gotten the fire, possibly he had still had a bit of firestone left over from earlier that day, when they had needed to Flame Thread. But Lilith thought this display was very well-thought out. She was beginning to go again when—
Veiruth? Lilith cast a glance at the small Sea. Had he followed them this whole way? Lilith balked, how had she not seen him? She would have to tell him she was sorry later, if she remembered. Had Veiruth followed her all the way? The small Sea was strong! She made a mental note to let Zenniel know what Veiruth had done. Veiruth flew higher than Lilith had ever seen a Sea fly before, and his small frame was illuminated by the moon, a shadow was cast over Lilith’s shining hide, turning her momentarily green-gray. Lilith was impressed by this male’s cunning, and nearly a second later, the Sea dropped down to the waves. Oh what a wonderfully crafted idea! She watched, almost dazedly, as Veiruth twisted and turned, and the light of the moon fell on him and the waves around him. He truly did seem to be made of the waves. The golden dragon crooned as he finished his trick.
Dear Veiruth, you have surpassed the others with your skills! That was a fine display of your size, and your wit! You are a fine addition to my Flight! Lilith crooned only to Veiruth, then, flipping her tail, she crooned, but can you keep up?
The next ‘stage’ of her Flight was speed. She and Zenniel had discovered a small hidden island near the center point between the Northern and Southern Continents. Lilith figured she would end the Flight there, on a deserted island. How … quaint. Anyway, Lilith flared her wings, and shot forward. She gained an almost playful, but lust-filled, attitude. She wanted to see if anyone could keep up, or if anyone could fly faster than her. The monster now totally gone from before, when there had been food, the old, playful Lilith was back, and very much in control.
Zenniel, on the other hand, was very much not in control. She frowned as she gripped onto the wall. It wasn’t fair, those guys thought their lust was more than hers… or at least equal to hers. Did they not know she was an empath? Did they not know she couldn’t control her emotions? Zenniel grunted, and made a mental note to never let her dragon fly again, even if Lilith wanted to. Sheeya right, like Lilith was going to listen to that.

He didn't think about anything making her angry, he just wasn't going for what she expected. He sighed to himself...he could still show her.
He, Roluth, hadn't tired himself diving all over the place and showing off...the poor Sea, though he was a very strong Sea and He respected him. They still had no idea what He could do!!!
The Mineral at least had the smarts to go between to get back up into the air and show off...ah well.
Now they were just sitting there while Lilith spoke to the Sea, well He knew that's what she was doing. He stared at what could be his if he played his cards right.
Suddenly she took off like a bullet! He was exstatic, but knew that he must keep his strength up. He flew after her only fast enough to glide into an updraft and glide above the rest, He could still see her and keep up at a decent pace.
MMMMM....this was going to be very fun, no matter the outcome. For him at least. He rumbled, and crooned loudly for Lilith.
C'it began to meld a little with his dragon, a smile creasing his face. He was still enough C'it to realize that Zenniel was being effected by the lust too much at this stage, even for a first Flight...then he remembered something that another rider had told him. She was an Empath!!! She could feel every single person's, dragon's, and fire-lizard's feelings in the room! that was near six or seven times the lust!
C'it walked over and put and hand on her shoulder, still himself for now. " Dear Weyrwoman, by the First Egg, you have no idea how sorry I am. I forgot that you were an Empath, forgive me for not being able to shelter my emotions to lighten your burden."
He was crying a little...C'it was like that...C'it was, not C'it/Roluth, and that was who was going to come out soon.
" Forgive me of any actions that occur when I am one with my dragon in this Flight Weyrwoman, please." He smiled and went back to his wall position.

((Sorry I'm late!))
Niagareth, resting deeply, actually missed the first few moments of the Flight. He was awoken by none other than his rider, shaking him violently. "Awaken, Niagareth! Lilith Rises, you need to Chase. This is our moment!" With a slight grumble, Niagareth pulled himself off the ground - and caught the last words of the queen. A trick? He could perform a trick, if his Sunshine wanted it. He launched into the air, stopped only for a few moments in the Weyrbowl to pick up something. He had no time to feed before he began to Chase, but he was a Waterfall.
Niagareth - All you need to truly worry about is Sretoth. Lilith's other suitors are a Forest and a Sea - foolish Blue. A Sea? What nerve. If he did win, he would ruin the Queen's first Hatching. Not a good thing, when Thread was falling. The Weyr needed a most amazing clutch. so a Waterfall was truly the only choice. Now he approached the Flight, and it was time for his trick. he held in each of his four feet glow-baskets. Shielded when he picked them up, a deft maneuver with his claws pushed aside the coverings, letting them glow in full strength.
He was still some distance from Lilith, but was steadily approaching, so he began a series of very tight spirals and flips - the glows leaving trails in the night sky. As he finally caught up with the beautiful Sunshine, he executed a final flip, circling around Lilith while twirling madly. Now his performance was over, he released the four baskets, and they fell to the sea below. With no blood to strengthen him, he was going to need all he could get.
As Lilith shot upwards, Niagareth followed. He would not do well to disappoint his Queen after joining late. Yes, a Flight was truly much more entertaining then even a game of Fighting fake Thread. As he was thinking of Thread, an oft repeated saying of his rider came to mind. Fly wise. In a Threadfall, this generally meant to watch on all sides, trying to keep as much in view as possible with your Rider, and to stay in a position that was beneficial to the fighting. In a Flight, however... He adjusted his wings slightly, and instead of following directly behind Lilith, he now flew approximately a foot above her. He watched the Queen's muscles and position, trying to predict where she would go next. He was flying wisely indeed.
Meanwhile, M'tan wasn't being very wise, though he did not know it. He ran quickly towards the Weyrwoman's weyr, stopping outside for only a moment to catch his breath before walking in. Even with his dragon participating in a Flight, he was able to notice that the Weyrwoman looked... distress. That thought was quickly shoved to the back of his mind, however, as Niagareth finished his tricks and began Chasing in earnest. Victory would surely be theirs!

Dear Veiruth, you have surpassed the others with your skills! That was a fine display of your size, and your wit! You are a fine addition to my Flight!
She had spoken to him? To him?! And she had crooned, too! The Sea was overjoyed, relishing on the sweet mental notes that made the mind voice of Lilith. She was just so perfect, and not as broody and flirtatious as all those Grasses and Forests! The Sea crooned softly, having now turned to gliding to conserve as much energy as he could. The flight seemed to be coming to an end -- or so he hoped -- and the little Sea was determined to keep up until he could no more. Oh, Z'or would be so angry with him later for pushing himself so hard! But he just had to! This was for the most beautiful and wonderful Sunshine in all of Pern's history and /between/! He just had to give her his all!
But, can you keep up?
The next words caused a small panic to run through his hide. They were bigger, much bigger, and thus could cover more air space with their wings. But Veiruth refused to give up. Lilith had seemed to angered at Forest Roluth! Though it seemed the Mineral had impressed her... But still, she had paid complements to him! None of the others, so far as he knew, had been spoken to personally. That had to count for something, right?!
Thank you for your praises, beloved Lilith. I will do my best to keep up, I swear!
A happy thrill was given by the Sea, he was so elated right now Z'or couldn't think of another time he had seemed so overjoyed -- saved the time he impressed to himself. The male allowed a small smile to line his lips, though he refused to think ahead of himself. Sure, Lilith had praised his Veiruth, she had spoken to his little Sea. But he still couldn't believe a Sunshine would allow a Sea to catch her, it had never happened before in history -- and there must have been a reason for that. The same way you didn't found Sea flitters being sires to Xiri's clutch. Still, he was willing to let his Veiruth have his fun -- to be as happy and as overjoyed as he could right now -- and he would tend to his dragon's emotional wounds later. He was so happy right now, Z'or feared how crushed he would be should Lilith choose another in the end. Z'or could bet his skin the Mineral would end up being her mate. Still, he would continue to support his charming Veiruth.
{Go get her, my love.}
His eyes were trained on the men there, and the newcomer. Something about the glance of his eyes he didn't liked, and Veiruth couldn't help but send him feelings of inferiority. Had some of the dragons been radiating such thoughts, even without their full knowledge? Calmly he assured his Veiruth he was just as good as that silly Waterfall, the Sea finally dashing off behind the Queen as well. Still, Z'or's eyes remained over Zenniel, guarding her from the other Riders that had come so close to her. He would probably not have this prize, but he would not allow others to take advantage of the Weyrwoman's delicate state. She was an Empath, he remembered that much, and all through the flight he had done his best to keep lustfull feelings hidden from her. And he was glad his Veiruth casted off waves of happiness and joy , it would surely be a good aid to keep the young girl stable in her mind.
And there she went, the behemoth of a Sunshine shooting off like a golden shooting star in the night. Veiruth squeaked, getting ready to follow, before Roluth and a newcomer -- a Waterfall -- passed him by quickly. He was startled, only barely managing to avoid collision with the two mammoths, before giving an angry hiss. Just because he was a Sea it didn't meant they could zoom past him without care! He had been gliding until then, giving his wings ll the rest they could get, before now pushing them once more to give him speed. The small streak flew below Lilith, around two and half dragonlengths behind the others, But he would not surrender, he would not give up! He promised Lilith he would keep up, and Veiruth intended to do just that! Never mind if his wings would ache so much come next morning that he would be confined from the skies for a few sevendays, never mind the ache he would feel afterwards. No, he would not hold back! He would give her his all, ad show these Kings they were no better than him!
His small size was an advantage, the night thermals kept him aloof more easily, and his arrow like body allowed him to keep the pace he had acquired. He used his slender tail as a rudder, guiding himself wit it when needed -- instead of wasting extra energy by shifting his wings in various angles. He hoped she could see him, that the clouds would not keep him away from her eyes again. He was closer now than before, and yet so far still. One dragonlength kept him at bay from Lilith, who flew above him, one dragonlength that seemed to refuse to give in and let him advance. But he would not surrender, he would fight!

Sretoth had heard Lilith's croons as he performed his trick- it was good to think that she approved of it. He was surprised by the appearance of the Sea- did it really think it could win a Sunshine's flight? Seas were small... surely it couldn't keep up. But Sretoth was not one to turn down a potential threat. The smaller dragon had made it this far, he was one to watch out for- even if no-one expected him to be able to manage anything.
When the Waterfall appeared too Sretoth gave a small snort of surprise. Why were so many appearing late? It seemed to him almost rude to miss the start of a flight... but did it put the new arrival at an advantage or disadvantage? Niagareth had not been flying as long as the rest, so he could have more energy. But he would have had to hurry to get here too, so he may have wasted some. And what, most importantly, would Lilith think?
The Mineral's thoughts were interrupted when the Sunshine took off again, streaking like a golden star through the night. Sretoth shot after her, determined not to let himself fall behind the others. In fact, maybe he could put on a show by getting ahead? He had no idea what anyone would think of that. But he had the energy to fly with the queen, and with a Waterfall here now, he did not want to hold back. Even if Lilith was offended by the late arrival, Sretoth figured Niagareth was his biggest competition. With what passed as a dragon grin, the Mineral pumped his wings and brought himself even with Lilith, although he still kept what he viewed a polite distance from her. Another stroke and he nosed ahead. But he would not push himself more than that. The flight wasn't over yet.
A'vic felt another surge of emotion as Sretoth picked up speed, although this was more happiness than lust. This confused him- was it good if the Mineral began thinking of the flight more as a game than something serious? Sretoth loved to show off, and that was what the dragon was trying to do now. Joy. The sensation of glee was a relief to the rider though, who was still fighting with the lust the seemed to emanate in waves from his dragon. More in control of himself now, A'vic stared out of the opening of the Weyr and into the sky again, wondering where the dragons were headed now.

A late newcomer?!! Ha! Lilith may be slightly angry at them still, but being late was even worse! He wouldn't let this Waterfall latecomer win if He could help it! The fact that the dragon had even done a trick with glows made Him angry, wasteful and late! He didn't want to think about it, so He turned all his attention back to staying close enough to Lilith in her flight towards the middle of the ocean it seemed.
He stayed in the updraft and glided for most of the time, only beating his wings when neccesary. He did not use much energy even though he saw that the others were possibly tiring...especially the honorable Sea. His eyes flashed sympathy for the poor Sea that wished so much to catch Lilith, then they were back to the purple of a lustful dragon. He continued to subtly close the gap between Himself above and the Queen below him. Soon He would use another trick, one that would possibly win it or lose it for Him.
Like-wise, the growing mesh if C'it/Roluth growled at M'tan's late entrance into the Queen's Weyr.
He was still in most control, but he was almost half himself and half Roluth now...he could sense the coming end to the Flight...the complete end or the end for Roluth.

When Lilith took off quite literally like a speeding bullet, Zenniel couldn’t help but grin. When yet another wave of lust came over from her dragon (attempting to meld dragon and girl together), and she was forced to cling yet again at the wall, she only half noticed what C’it did. She did smile at him, for it would be rude if she didn’t at least acknowledge someone. She was feeling a bit better now, seeing as may dragon Chasers probably considered this Flight a game. Even Lilith thought this was fun. At least Zen felt more joy than before, but it was still not enough to overcome the lust. At least the feeling of lust was less.
Lilith, on the other hand, was feeling mixed emotions. She was ecstatic, the end was in sight! Not just because of that, but because she was starting to think about who she wanted to Catch her, she was sure she saw a clear winner. No, she wouldn’t tell anyone yet, not even Zen, who would probably give it away. Not even another newcomer could dampen her mood (though it did a little anyway). This newcomer, this Waterfall, made her slightly angry, but who could be angry about a Waterfall? Instead, Niagreth’s arrival made her a little happier, because he was quite possibly the Highest ranking dragon in the Weyr at the time. She did show a little concern (who wouldn’t?), but what could really disturb her during her maiden Flight?
Despite the effort it took to dive, and then to hover in the same spot for who knows how long, Lilith was still flying perfectly. Her muscles slid under her hide with ever wingbeat, her eyes refracted light from the moon. Even as she flew, she collected information. Roluth seemed to think he was all that as he flew above her. Sretoth radiated joy, perhaps he thought this was as much a game as Lilith did. Niagreth, the newcomer, looked as if he were already straining. Lilith could tell he hadn’t eaten before he rose to Fly her. Veiruth, the poor Sea, was lagging behind. Lilith felt sorry for him, but he seemed determined to see the Flight to the end. She could not take away his happiness, she just hoped he would make it back to the Weyr safely.
Roluth flew above her, and Lilith, as said before, didn’t like it. Beside her, Sretoth flew, though he flew a little bit ahead of her, she Lilith didn’t like it. She would win, she would prevail, and no one, not even measly Chasers, would stop her! Lilith leaned her nose downward, sloping the rest of her body the same way. The wind that slapped against her wing sails tried to keep her higher in the air, but she would have none of it. She was the Queen of the Skies, if only for tonight. To help her speedy descent, she dragged her wings close to her body until they were halfway closed and halfway open. Then, with only a slight turn of her tail and a slight flip of her body, she was spiraling downward.
To a far off onlooker, she might look like a comet. To her Chasers, she might look like she fell unconscious. To her, the plan was coming along perfectly. By now, she was lower than all of the males, and still spiraling downward. But she still wasn’t even halfway to the halfway point to the sea. That was fine, she wasn’t needing to go as far down to the sea as she had before. She just needed—there! Her body was suddenly jostled about, the hinting of a strong upward draft. Quickly, expertly, she threw open her wings and righted herself. She had only a moment to do this, and what she planned was very ambitious. It all depended on what her chasers thought of it. And though she had dove, it took far less time that the previous dive had: the males wouldn’t have been able to follow.
Since Veiruth was so far behind, the young queen, not wanting to leave him out of her antics, said to him, Watch this! Nothing more and nothing less. Then she rushed upward, past Niagreth, the wind from her sudden arrival billowing over him, and as she passed him, she drew her tail playfully across his hide. Next came Sretoth. She delicately, as to not injure him, intermingled her claws with his. For her to do this, Lilith had to flip upside-down, a feat, in the draconic world, that was very hard to do (no wonder mostly males tried to perform it). The contact lasted only a couple seconds at most, and in those couple seconds Lilith shows she was flirting with him. Last, flipping around so that she could fly higher, she arrived right above, and a little before, Roluth. To this male she slowed, which wasn’t that hard: all she had to do was glide, and nipped at his back (playfully of course). Then she pumped her wings harder, and flew higher and faster than before. Sure this was draining, but the sialnd was in view.
Zenniel, on the other hand, frowned. Lilith was having too much fun. This was her maiden Flight! That was just is: this was a maiden Flight. Zenniel hated to know what her other Flights would be like. At least Zen felt better. She felt so good, in fact, that her mind began to meld with Liliths on this last leg of the Flight. Soon the Flight would be over, and Lilith knew that. It was now or never if any males were to try tricks on her.
(( Alright, I’m straying off the regular Flight path to allow for one post each before Lilith chooses who Flies her. This is the order:
Veiruth, Lilith, Sretoth, Lilith, Niagreth, Lilith, Roluth, and then Lilith chooses
Make these last posts super long (I can’t say that much for my posts… seeing as I go every other time), but don’t overdo it. You know what overdoing means… five pages on Word or whatnot. I am allowing for a little control of Lilith, but don’t go right out and say ‘Lilith chose whats-his-face and they became Weyrleaders’. Have fun! ))
