K'nor had been sleeping quite peacefully while he waited for a hatching to occur he, had forgotten that he had impressed to a pair of firelizards. Nari was the first to awaken and she saw her brother Sarit sleeping on K'nor's left side Nari crawled over K'nor's face and crooned to her brother.
K'nor felt a firelizard crawling over his face but did not react to the thing. It was one of the few times that he felt as though he were not breathing. "Sharding dragon what are.." He mumbled in his sleep as he turned over onto his side, catching Nari's tail in between the bed and his side. She squeaked at the pain and turned to glare at her bonded, who bolted awake scaring Sarit who creeled in fright. Nari immeadtly went to calm her brother, even though her tail was broken.
"I'm sorry Nari I wasn't awake yet I had forgotten for a moment." K'nor spilled apology after apology out to the two flitters. He then looked to Kintrath and asked him to contact someone who could help.
Yes Mine. Kintrath then turned his head out toward the bowl and then called out to anyone who may be able to help that His needed help healing a firelizard.
Mine has hurt little cousin Nari! She needs help! He called he hoped that a healer heard the call and came to the aid of His and his little cousin Nari.

Well, Tirasha heard the call. Only half-awake at the time- K'nor was lucky she was an early riser, or at least somewhat- she swore softly and sat up in bed while Willow gave questioning chirps. "Apparently we have more work to do," Tirasha sighed, scratching the little Mineral's eyeridge. It seemed that new flitts meant a lot of injuries and work for the Healer- first that Snow and now more...
"Wake Tianthe," Tirasha ordered as she dressed. "I'll head to Kintranth's weyr and you can catch up whenever you find her..." Tianthe probably wasn't even asleep right now- early morning was, in the Grass's opinion, the best time for chasing bugs. But Willow knew what His meant and disappeared with a soft pop.
Tell K'nor I'm coming, Tirasha sighed as she left her room. Dragon weyrs were so troublesome to get too. Maybe if she was lucky Kintranth would give her a ride- or better K'nor would decide to head down to the Healer's weyrs where accessing whatever she needed for healing was much easier. But Tirasha didn't like making requests of dragons. Being a hear-all was enough for her.

Mine a Healer comes. Kintrath told His who nodded and he got on the Dragons back and with Nari in hand he went down to the healer's weyr. He wa happy with helping the firelizard get better so that the flitter would stop creeling for pain. Sarit was very confused as far as why his sister was in pain and she was also his only defense against the bigger fire lizards that would hurt him.
K'nor ran to the healers weyrs, he was craddling Nari in his arms as Sarit wrapped his tail around his bondeds tail. He was also worried for his little Sea and his Sand, he was also hoping that she was going to get better.
"She'll be all right? She won't be to long in healing? She'll be able to use her tail right?" He asked as he waited for the Healer to arrive he was also freeting for his newly acquired fire lizards.

Tianthe appeared just in front of Tirasha, the squirming legs of a beetle protruding from her mouth. While the Grass crunched up and swallowed her meal she gave Tirasha a brief image of a rider carrying a flitt on his arms, another on his shoulder. Willow arrived moments later with his own image of the Healer's weyrs.
Getting their message, Tirasha swiveled and headed for them. While she walked she forced her hair up into a ponytail with a small strip of hide, only to have Tianthe land on her head and mess up her already basically uncombed red hair. Willow settled happily on the Healer's shoulder.
Hearing the quick footsteps of another, Tirasha picked up her pace and intercepted K'nor outside the Healer's weyr, where he seemed to immediately spurt into a line of questions. Its tail? Tirasha peered around the rider's shoulder at the little Sand. Her tail did look a little awkward, although it was hard to see with the tail of the Sea flitt coiled around it.
"May I see her?" Tirasha asked, holding out her hands for the fire lizard. Willow and Tianthe took off again, landing on a large table and watching with eyes flickering between yellow and green. They had seen a much more badly hurt Snow just the day before and weren't sure just how concerned to be about this Sand.

K'nor handed the little Sand to the Healer and waited to see what would come of his little Nari, he was also very scared for how Sarit would react to his sister. His face etched in the lines of concern he was unsure how to react for his friends this was his first time ever having fire lizards they needed him to take care of them.
"I rolled over on her tail, when I was getting up and Kintrath woke up and I guess called you." K'nor told her and he was very concerned he knew that the two fire lizards need him and they need help because they impressed instead of going wild.

Tirasha only nodded as she looked the Sand over. Other than looking a little frightened, she didn't look overall too bad- it was just that kink in her tail. Humming softly, the Healer set the Sand down on the table in front of her own fire lizards. "Go get some splints and thread would you?" She asked Willow in a soft voice. The little Mineral quickly disappeared.
Tianthe looked up at Hers expectantly, usually that was her task and Willow went after heavier supplies. But Tirasha wasn't quite sure she would really need numbweed for the Sand- the wound wasn't open and so the herb would only numb the skin... right? She thought that was right. "So they were playing around while you slept?" Tirasha asked absently she waited for Willow's return. She should have sent Tianthe anyways- Willow was always more reliable, but he might not know exactly where the supplies she needed were since it was the Grass who usually got them.

"I think so, I'm unaccustomed to having someone share my bed. Kintrath tells me I always move in my sleep and I just happened to roll over on her tail." K'nor told the Healer hoping that was the information she needed, Sarit decided to creel at his sister Nari in turn crooned back telling him she was all right other than her tail hurt a lot.
"Do you understand them?" K'nor asked he was confused as far as their communications were he wanted to know what they were saying. He wished he knew, but he was unsure about it.

Willow popped back into the room as K'nor finished talking and hovered for a moment while Tirasha took his supplies before landing softly on the table. Tianthe crooned to the Sea comfortingly, her eyes a comforting blue. Willow lay down on the table- seeming gigantic (by flitt terms at least) compared to the hatchlings and much smaller Grass. He wasn't, apparently, as sympathetic as his sister though, for he only watched with a mild expression.
"Flitts?" Tirasha looked up at K'nor with surprise, nearly dropping the supplies in her hands. He wasn't asking about dragons, surely... that was her secret. "No, not really. I can guess, I mean, I've had these two," she motioned towards Willow and Tianthe as she set the thin wooden rods and threads down, "for a long time and sort of understand their behavior... but it's like having a canine or a runnerbeast, you know?" She didn't know if he knew, but wasn't quite sure how else to explain that. Anyone could think they understood an animal and then have it take them by surprise with its behavior. And fire-lizards were only animals, although to some they seemed much more intelligent.
Now Tirasha bent over the little Sand, crooning softly under her breath as she reached towards it. She had been bitten or scratched too many times to count by little creatures like this while trying to help their injuries, hopefully this hatchling wouldn't hurt her too much. The Healer wasn't sure how much control a flitt so young would have over its instinct though. "I'm only feeling for the fracture in your tail," she explained in a soft voice as she took a firm but light grip on the tail, just a bit above the crooked spot. Gently, she ran her fingers down the hide, doing her best to feel for just where the bones had been broken and where.

Nari bit toward the Healer's hand as she felt a sharp pain in the area that had been hurt she was not much for pain. Her brother was crooning in worry as he looked at his sister he was worried for her and he was unsure about how to do things for her. He wanted to help but the big mineral was scary to the timid little Sea, he was very afraid and unsure about his sister.
K'nor smiled and nodded then when she felt pain he felt a sharp ache in his arm, he looked at her and then he decided to speak. "Is the bond of a Firelizard similar to a dragons? Just weaker?" He asked uncertain why he felt so much aching, he was in a lot of pain because of it.
Tirasha, Mine hurts like little cousin Nari why? Kintrath asked the Healer he knew that she could hear him.

Tirasha snatched her hands away from the Sand, only narrowly avoiding getting bitten. A sharp hiss escaped Willow; he was always protective of His and did not like this hatchling trying to bite her. She projected the Mineral soothing thoughts, Tirasha was alright and there was no need for him to be angry. Willow sniffed and gave his head an irritable shake, but the eyes that had been flickering yellow moments before returned to an uncertain green. Tianthe crooned and nuzzled her brother's shoulder.
"I would think so," Tirasha replied, measuring the size of the splints Willow had fetched against the Sand's little tail with eyes only. No need to cause it more pain than she needed to, and the next phase of helping the flitt would hurt a lot too. "They seem to only be miniature dragons anyways, although without all the abilities." She smiled as Tianthe gave an indignant chirp. Silly little Grass. "But I can't say for sure, since I don't have a dragon myself to compare the bond with."
She smiled slightly at Kintranth's question. Because she is bonded to him, just as you are. It seemed sort of silly in her mind to have both dragon and rider asking similar questions. She didn't know if her reply to K'nor had answered the Mineral's question though, so giving him a different, if similar, answer seemed right.

Thank you that helps Kintrath told her as he sent a wave of calm relief to his little cousin telling her that all would be well that the woman meant to help. K'nor smiled and wondered why Kintrath hadn't spoken to him yet, it was unlike the Mineral to bespeak people unless they were a HAD.
Sarit flew over and landed next to his sister and curled next to her crooning, he also had a grey tinge to his eyes. His sister Nari was also hurting her eyes were a greenish-grey because she was hurting but she was content now.

Tirasha beckoned K'nor closer. "I'm going to get my hand torn off trying to set the bones again, could you hold or down or try to soothe her? It doesn't feel like there is too bad a break in the tail, but setting bones always hurts. I don't think your Sand will be too happy."
Tianthe trilled, they were getting to the exciting part of the healing process now. Willow glared at her, grumbling softly. Definately the more serious of the pair, he saw no reason to be getting excited over what had always been one of the more painful part of broken bones that humans came in with. He had never seen a fire-lizard or dragon break a bone, but suspected the reaction would be similar. Tirasha gave them both a look that clearly said, Hush.

K'nor went over and soothingly braced Nari against the incoming pain, he was also calming sending calming feelings to the little flit. He hoped that it would help her, it soon however sent Sarit to sleep as he was also calming down he however curled his tail around K'nor's neck. He was very tired but he was also concerned, and hungry his eyes whirled greyish red from hunger and worry.
Mine, their is a newcomer arriving. Kintrath told him as he finished thinking about food and Greens. He was very much occupied with the though of Chasing.

Tirasha took the Sand's little tail in her usual gentle but firm grip, her fingers closed just above the little kink where bones had been broken. Exactly how successful she would be in this, Tirasha wasn't sure. The tail had such little bones, whether they had been fractured or just smashed was rather questionable. But she figured she would do her best.
A quick jerk- Tirasha heard a small crackle-snap sort of noise and sighed softly before rushing to grab the two short, light bits of wood Willow had brought in and align them against the Sand's tail. With one hand holding those in place, she grabbed the thread and began deftly stringing that around them to keep the splints in place.
"Flight won't be easy for a while," Tirasha told K'nor as she tied a quick knot. "The tail is used a lot for balance and maneuvering, so she will have trouble steering until I can take the splint off. Maybe check back in a week and I'll see how her tail's doing?" She chewed her lower lip thoughtfully- how long would a fire-lizard take to heal fractures?
Tianthe crooned to the Sand, cheering her on for being such a strong little flitt through the ordeal. Willow chirped happily and gave Tirasha a hopeful look- he wanted breakfast.
Tirasha gave the Sand's back a friendly rub and looked up at K'nor. "I guess just be sure to feed them well then- and hopefully they'll have learned a lesson to not run around on you while you're sleeping." She smiled at the sleeping Sea and the little Sand. "Is that all you'll need?" Willow switched his hopeful gaze to K'nor, wanting His to be released so they could go eat.

"Yes thennk you, I will feed them and make sure that she sleeps somewhere else." He looked at her and then patted Nari for being such a good little flit. He hoped that both Sarit and Nari had learned a valuable lesson, he was pleased at the recovery of the little Sand.
