The Firmament Wing is the Wing that covers the higher altitudes when fighting Thread. Named Firmament for the sky, this Wing consists of the larger dragons, discluding the Sunshines and female Waterfalls, and rarely a lower colored dragon. This Wing meets the Thread first.

The Hub Wing, consisting of mostly Middle-ranking colors (Forests to Sands), is the middle wing. This Wing flys in the direction opposite of the Firmament Wing, no matter what. This Wing is the second largest wing. Rarely a large Sea or Storm Cloud makes it into this Wing.

The Terrain Wing is the lowest Wing to Pern's terrain besides the Queen's wing. This Wing consists of all the colors lower than Sands, as those colors are more numerous to catch any lone strings of Thread that falls behind the previous two wings. Occaisionally, an Earth or a Sand makes it into this wing, if it is small enough.

The Sovereign Wing consists wholly of the Female Queens. The Goldriders wear agenothree tanks behind their backs, the Waterfallriders can scorch the sky with their firestone, as Waterfalls can chew. This Wing is the lowest, and their main priority is to make sure the other wings do a good job. This wing is a last-resort for Threadfall, and most riders in this Wing usually just occupy themselves with sending nice thoughts to other dragon's heads.

Just what you thought it was, the Infantil Wing is the Weyrling Wing. This Wing does nothing in the way of Threadfighting for most of the time. Instead, the Weyrlings provide firestone for the dragons, no matter what Wing. All new Weyrlings go here.
