New Southern Weyr ;;
15th Pass

The grubs meant to keep the ground safe from the Thread are failing. Slowly, day by day, they die. The dragonriders are forced, now more than ever, to combat two things: the fall of Thread and the death of the second defense against Thread. Aivas had been discovered, but the effects it had were not ones that could help fight the Thread. The Red Star is very much a menace still, even after so many hundreds of Turns. Will you fight the Thread, or teach those who will grow up to do so?

Only you can choose.

So easy it is to blame Thread. Nothing can be done, so we’ll sing about it.

High Ranks

Sunshine

Sunshines are the original Golds. Sunshines tend to be very proud dragons. They are the largest dragons, the largest so far being as tall as a Terran Tyrannosaurus Rex. The main coloring for Sunshines is gold, though darker and lighter colorings have existed. The Sunshines, though proud, tend to take on the personality of their Impressed. Sunshines cannot chew firestone, and therefore during Thread have to be the lowest wing and carry agenothree packs on their back to sear any wayward flame.
Impression Preferences: Female and always Impress to females
Rarity: Extremely Rare

Waterfall

Waterfalls are very high-spirited dragons. Their main disposition is happy, and they rarely get angry. Their personalities can range from high in the clouds to very hyper. These dragons can be both genders, and are one of the two un-mutated types to be able to be both male and female. Their main coloring is silver, though they can have splashes of blue, and on rare occasions, green. The females are slightly larger than the males and have leaner bodies, whereas the males have more muscled bodies. Female Waterfalls can chew Firestone and clutch, and Male Waterfalls can chew firestone.
Impression Preferences: Male or Female and can Impress to same gender
Rarity: Very Uncommon

Mineral

Minerals are the original Bronze dragons. The Minerals are the only all-male dragons of the Higher Ranks, too. They are, by nature, slightly smaller than male Waterfalls, but on rare occasions a Mineral may be larger than a Waterfall. Minerals tend to have a caring core personality, while the personality that shows can range from sad to happy and anything in between. Minerals rarely take after their Impresser’s personality, and instead seem to have their own set personality from Hatching. Minerals have a predominantly bronze-colored hide, but some may take green into their color scheme. No other colors can be seen on a Mineral.
Impression Preferences: Male and always Impress to male
Rarity: Very Uncommon

Other Females

Sand

Sand dragons, when they are first Hatched, look exactly like the sand that is around them. As they grow, however, the Sands learn to control their mysterious hides. See, Sand hides are continually changing. Their hides always retain a sepia-like coloring, but whenever they move, it looks as if wind is billowing over sand dunes. Because of this, Sands look like each other. Each Sand has a slightly different coloring, though. One may be rock-colored while the other almost white. Sands have strange personalities, too. When they are younger, their personalities change by the day. As they grow up, they can either adopt a stony outlook on life, or are almost always cheery.
Impression Preferences: Impress to females, but can Impress to males
Rarity: Uncommon

Storm Cloud

Storm Clouds are usually very sad dragons. Just their appearances are sorrowful. They have gray hides with darker colorings that look like rolling clouds. These dragons are usually lethargic dragons who don’t want to do anything that requires work. During Flights, they like to fly high, but not very far. Lacking the work of the Flight, Storm clouds can only clutch up to six eggs.
Impression Preferences: Impress to people who have the opposite personalities
Rarity: Uncommon

Grass

Grass dragons where the original Greens. Grass dragons do not clutch, and never will, no matter what color catches them. These dragons are the only non-mutant dragons that do not clutch. These dragons are often the most sane and level-headed dragons. They do, though, have their own personalities. Some can be very chipper, and others can be literally down in the dumps. Grass dragons come in a different variety of green hues, excluding the darker colors. These are the only color that chews firestone and becomes sterile because of it.
Impression Preferences: Impress to anyone
Rarity: Extremely Common

Other Males

Earth

Earth dragons are the original Browns. Their hides usually range from a dark brown to a light honey-brown. The most prominent coloring is in a range of tree-bark brown. They have the most level-headed personalities for male dragons, and rarely ever get mad or extremely happy. One will rarely ever see an Earth dragon extremely happy, unless they are Chasing or they are a sire of a clutch.
Impression Preferences: Impress to heterosexual males or homosexual/bisexual females
Rarity: Common

Sea

Seas are the original Blue dragons. Their hides can reach from the lightest baby blue to the darkest royal blue. Seas are shy creatures. Though definitely not the smallest dragons, Seas are among the smallest. They tend to be very timid around larger dragons. Besides their apparent shyness, Seas are inquisitive dragons and love nothing more than to curb their curiosity.
Impression Preferences: Impress to anyone
Rarity: Extremely Common

Snow

Snow dragons are by far the smallest male dragons. They do not care, however, and instead focus on the impossibilities of life. They are the daredevils of the dragon world. Despite their outgoing personalities, they are curious dragons. They are all almost bleach white, with a few being marble-colored. Because of this, many Snow dragons look the same.
Impression Preferences: Impress to anyone with the same personality
Rarity: Extremely Rare

Both Genders

Forest

Forest dragons are the only other non-mutated dragons to be both male and female. Forest dragons are larger than Earths, generally, but smaller than Sands, putting them somewhere in-between. The males are, however, slightly larger than females. Their main colorings are dark green, though a Forest may have an occasional light patch. They rarely ever get lighter than dark green. If they are, they are considered very large Grass dragons, and so categorized as such, though the females can still clutch. Forest dragons have a very short range of personalities. They range from angry to calm, and very rarely get very happy or very sad. Their most common personality is in-between angry and calm, with a sort of angered outlook on life.
Impression Preferences: Males Impress to females and Females Impress to males, though sometimes they Impress to the same gender
Rarity: Females: Very Uncommon ; Males: Uncommon
